Kick-off #CleanUpTBRPile Read-a-thon!

Must be signed-up for the read-a-thon in order to participate in activities.  It's not to late to participate.  Fill out the form here.

Ready to DO this?????

I am!

Here's my list of books to read over the next two days.  Not sure if that's the order or not.  Not sure I'll get them all done but I'm gonna do a lot of reading so we'll see.

Post your reading list here in the comments or on your blog (then leave a link in the comments), then come back and report on how you did by replying to your original comment.  The person who does the best job on their reading list, wins something off the prize pile.

The first challenge will be up at 8AM EST.  It involves your current favorite hawty.

The second challenge will be up at 12AM EST tomorrow.  It's a puzzle.

Then be checking that #CleanUpTBRPile hashtag cause there's gonna be some random fun.

Might need a pic of you reading or a pic of the book you're reading.

Might want to find your fav twitter length quote ready for.....um...something later.

Then I might be wondering about your all time fav book.

Okay, no more hints!!!

To recap, there will be winners for:

  • Most pages read
  • Most books read
  • Most words written
  • Challenge #1
  • Challenge #2
  • Reading list - best laid plans
  • Random twitter fun

Depending on the number of peeps that sign-up and the number of prizes, I will increase the twitter fun and/or add 2nd places to the rest.  All prizes will be selections off the prize pile on a first come first served order.

Enjoy the reading!!

  14. Wow, what an awesome list of books Val!! I am a super slow reader and I have to watch my daughter so I am going to keep my goal low.
Finish Burn Mark (I'm barely into the book and it's a little over 400 pages)
    Read Pushing the Limits

That's it for me. Really I probably won't even get that done, but here's hoping. :)

  15. I have to keep a low goal, too - all three of my kids will home the whole day! However, I hope to finish reading "Dragon Castle" and get through the entire book of "The Journeys of John and Julia." I'd love to get through more, but I'm trying to be realistic!

    1. Okay, as a Friday-only reader, I called it quits last night. Luckily (or not) I was sick yesterday, so I had a great excuse to ignore the things I should have done! So here's my report (page counts came from Amazon for all but the first, since I used an e-reader for the rest):

"Dragon Castle" - finished! +249 pages
"The Journeys of John and Julia +278 pages
"Bras, Boys, and Blunders" +189 pages
      "Poltergeeks" +416 pages

For a grand total of: 1132 pages

(For one day, that's not too shabby! And I more than reached my goal, which I'm beyond happy about!)

Thanks for helping me put a dent in my TBR pile!

I'm setting a high goal, but we shall see! I really need to get my blog going, so I could have used it. But I can't get it set up how I want Lol!

  20. I'm going to aim high :)
I want to finish Charade from Cambria Herbert (I'm was about half done before the challenge started)

Plus I want to read "My Soul to Lose" which is the short story before the start of the Soul Screamer series. Then I want to try and finish the first two books in that series at least, so "My Soul to Take" and "My Soul to Save" - I would like to read further into that series but I don't have the rest of the books in front of me so I am not sure I will get them before tomorrow.

I also have "Stargazer" from the Evernight series waiting for me. And then maybe "Hourglass" . . . but that might be aiming too high.

I really want to finish some of the angel books on my self (how is it possible that I have so many books about angel lore on my shelves when I don't actively seek them out?) so I will try to get to either "Highborn" by Yvonne Navarro or "Angel Burn" by L.A. Weatherly - hey who knows maybe I will somehow finish them both :)

  21. I'm currently reading The Carrier Of The Mark and I have a huge TBR list to start digging through. I will probably dive into Darkness Before Dawn, Sweet Venom or Hush, Hush afterwards.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Velveteen by Daniel Marks
The Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead (I know I am late on this series. I actually started reading the Bloodlines series without even knowing the books were kinda related.)

A low goal, but with a one year old and a two year old I had to be realistic.

Won't be necessarily in that order and I might add some books from time to time(or not) ;)
