Celebration Character Interview ~ Jaden from What a Boy Needs & GIVEAWAY

Okay, peeps, anyone getting tired of these posts yet? I'm still feeling it so here's another one.

This week I have my boy, Jaden from What a Boy Needs by Nyrae Dawn.  This book is the companion book to What a Boy Wants by Nyrae Dawn.  Enjoy!

So thanks Jaden for talking to me today.  Kinda strange not having Sebastian with you.  I really think of you two as a team.

What? I’m way cooler than he is. LOL. Just kidding. Bastian’s my boy.

Well, don't tell him, but I agree.  Bastian's fabulous though, what’s your favorite memory of him?

Just causing trouble with him, ya know? We used to torment the girls so much in elementary school. Graduation will always be an awesome one. But… I guess the little stuff is cool too. Like when I came to stay with him before we left for the road trip. That was a hard time, but he’s so freakin’ crazy he somehow makes it hard to be bummed around him, I guess.

I love that friendship you, Bastian, Aspen, and Pris have.  What’s craziest/best thing the four of you have ever done.

Damn… that’s kind of a hard question. We do a lot of crazy cool stuff. You know Sebastian, he makes everything crazy. I kind of look at it that way. We always have a good time and it’s always crazy. Am I cheating?

Hey, when you're right, you're right.  Totally LOVED your High School graduation.  It was fabulous.  Who’s idea was that?

If you ask Sebastian he’ll say it was him, but I’m taking credit for it. We knew we had to do something, but when push came to shove, he actually drew a blank! I’m the one who went genius on that one.

Pure genius too.  Don't think I've ever laughed that hard while reading a book, seriously.  

Tell me something about you that we don’t learn about in the book?

Argh. *rubs hand over face* I don’t really like talking about myself. I’m a kickass dancer. I used to breakdance a little bit.

Sweet!  I can see that with you.

What about Priscilla, can you tell us something about her that we don’t learn in the book?

She loves tattoos. She’s wanted one forever and then when she turned eighteen her and Aspen went before we left home, I guess, but she couldn’t do it. She hates needles, but she would have done it anyway because she’s Priscilla, but she said at the last minute, she didn’t know what she wanted. She had something picked out, but it wasn’t right. When we got to NY she told me and I’ve wanted one too so we decided to go together. But she still didn’t know what she wanted. We ended up going to a ton of places for her to look and she still couldn’t find what she wanted, so we waited. It’s crazy cuz it’s something she’s wanted so long and she can do it, but she took her time because that’s how she is. She’s not one of those people who just anything isn’t good enough. When she makes a decision, she wants it to be the perfect one for her because she’s going to stick with it. So yeah… we actually just went. She did this interview with Andrea and came home all stoked because she finally knew what she wanted. I have no idea what made her think of it all of a sudden, but I’m glad because it’s seriously hot. It’s a dandelion on her shoulder.

Can you describe Priscilla is 5 words?

What is it about her that draws you to her?

You’re seriously trying to embarrass me here, aren’t you? I don’t know… *shrugs* I mean, I do know, but it feels sort of personal. Basically everything though. She’s strong as hell and she just puts stuff out there, ya know? She doesn’t back down… never gives up, even on me. And she… I guess she makes me better. Or makes me feel better, or something. That sounds lame. I know.

Um...that was so not lame Jaden.  

Describe the perfect day for me.  Who would you be with and what would you do?

I’d be with Priscilla—actually maybe Bastian and Aspen too. Another road trip maybe. Or hell, just hanging out in New York. Finding trouble. Trouble’s always fun.

  

*Laughs* Yes that would be perfect for you guys.

If you could have one wish, no questions, what would it be and why?

I got it—to be happy.

Hopefully I’ll have graduated by then. I’ll be working, and with my girl. We love NY, so we’ll probably still be here. Plus it’s close to my dad and his family. I don’t know… just livin’. Enjoying life.
