Celebrating Four Years Stuck In Books ~ 1/5/15

As we continue our celebration, we have another great giveaway for you!

Hardcover.
YA dealing with lots of feels.

International.

Telling a story of a rarely recognized segment of eating disorder sufferers—young men—A Trick of the Light by Lois Metzger is a book for fans of the complex characters and emotional truths in Laurie Halse Anderson's Wintergirls and Jay Asher's Thirteen Reasons Why.

Mike Welles had everything under control. But that was before. Now things are rough at home, and they're getting confusing at school. He's losing his sense of direction, and he feels like he's a mess. Then there's a voice in his head. A friend, who's trying to help him get control again. More than that—the voice can guide him to become faster and stronger than he was before, to rid his life of everything that's holding him back. To figure out who he is again. If only Mike will listen.

  3. Do I like books that brings the feels? Yes and No. I love them because obviously the author makes it believable and you cry with them. But dang it, when I cry I get blotchy faced and my family makes fun of me for crying over a book!

  18. Yes, I love books that bring all the feels!! And I love "issue books" more specifically. I've seen this one at my library, but I haven't read it. I haven't ready *any* book dealing with male eating disorders, in fact. I'm very intrigued and would love to read it. Thanks -- and HUGE congrats on FOUR YEARS!! That requires an amazing amount of dedication and hard work, I have no doubt. You were one of the first book blogs I ever followed, back when my little obsession with YA and book blog started about 3 years ago... to think, you were just a baby then! Thanks for all the great reviews, interviews, and other great content, and of course the giveaways ;) love this blog!
