To me, beach reads are the fun, sexy reads. The best fun, sexy reads I've read lately are the ones in Jamie Shaw's Mayhem series!
So I'm giving away any one book in that series!

Something that is light and funny:)
ReplyDeleteAnything that will keep me interested for hours! :)
ReplyDeletesomething that I can enjoy and get lost in but doesn't dampen my good mood :) thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteMust be easy to read. The beach is a place that is full of distractions and I don't want something too sad or scary. Preferably a funny, lighthearted story or a good romance. Too absorbing and I'll end up sunburned!
ReplyDeletea beach read must have a swoony hero, some funny moments and a HEA
ReplyDeleteWhat makes a beach read for me? A beach read for me has to be the one that consumes you while you're in the sun like completely absorbed in the reading but also something that you can leave for a moment, just to put your feets on the water and then yay go back to the reading. And yes, if it's some romantic story is 99% better.
ReplyDeleteI need a beach read to be sexy and funny.
ReplyDeleteHonestly I don't have separate reads for separate times. I just rotate my genres depending on my mood.
ReplyDeleteLight and sexy romance with HEA set in an exotic place :)
ReplyDeleteSomething light and fun, no emotional tear-jerkers for me :P
ReplyDeleteJust about anything, but I guess a real beach read to me is light, fluffy and fun. Could be romance, could be general fiction. Just nothing heavy.
ReplyDeleteDifferent genres, but sometimes stories that are easy to follow.
ReplyDeleteSomething that is light and funny.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a beach person, but just a good book. Doesn't matter where I am, as long as I have a book I really enjoy, all is good.
ReplyDeleteI used to pack my tote with historical steamy romances. Now I like cozy mysteries or chick lit. Something light and fun in case I get distracted. But if I'm into a serious story, I'll go for that one.
ReplyDeleteWhile at the beach, I'd prefer to have something light, fun, and easy to read. I want to be able to pick it up and put it down multiple times without losing the thread of the story too much. After all, there are plenty of interruptions (and rightfully so) at the beach.
ReplyDeleteBeach reads for me is romantic & funny

ReplyDeleteA beach read for me is any book that is fast paced with quirky characters and elements of humour mixed in. :)
ReplyDeletea beach read needs to have some romance that leads me to need a cool dip in the water and a lot of action, to keep me pulled into the story and ignoring the annoying seagulls around me. :)
ReplyDeleteA funny story, always trying to bring a laugh out loud :)

I want a beach read that isn't too long. Must be light & entertaining, fun and sexy. After all, I am on vacation. The book needs to follow suit. :)
ReplyDeleteSomething light and fluffy, that hopefully makes me laugh. Also, it can't be a huge book. I don't like to take my kindle to places like the beach, so for me it has to be a small paperback.
ReplyDeletesomething that will make me laugh:)
ReplyDeleteA book that can easily take me from reality! :D

ReplyDeleteFor me a beach read is something with humor, not requiring too much thinking and a worn paperback (lighter to carry and not much of a problem when my hands get sweaty).
