#CuddlesByVal ~ 8/15/12

This is my version of Waiting on Wednesday but with more cuddles, books I can't wait to cuddle for various reasons.

This week's pick is a book I've been WAITING on for a very long time!  I loved Nevermore and NEED this one.  Luckily, it's available August 28th!

(Nevermore #2)

Varen Nethers is trapped in a perilous dream world -- a treacherous and desolate realm where the terrifying stories of Edgar Allan Poe come to life. Isobel Lanley, plagued by strange visions and haunted by the nightmares of Varen's creation, is the only one who can save him.
Isobel knows that her only hope lies within a Baltimore cemetery. There, in the early morning hours of Edgar Allan Poe's birthday, a mysterious stranger known as the "Poe Toaster" will make his annual homage at the legendary poet's grave.
Only the Poe Toaster holds the key to the way between worlds. But even greater dangers lie ahead for Isobel. An ancient evil, draped in veils of white, is watching, challenging her for Varen's affections. When Isobel finally finds Varen, he is no longer the quiet and brooding boy who once captivated her, but a dark force, powerful and malevolent.

So I LOVED that popular girl falls for goth mystery guy that was Nevermore but I also loved the Poe references and the total emotional ride that this book was.  The ending had me crying out for book 2 NOW.  My wait is almost over!! And as for the cuddling part, well Varen NEEDS to be cuddled.  Love him.

What about you?  What are you waiting on?  Leave me a comment.

  1. Varen definitely need to be cuddled by me! I actually already read it and sadly there isn't much Varen in it :-( I was disappointed but very much now looking forward to the third book. It ends on another cliffhanger GRR!

  4. I've been waiting for Enshadowed for what feels like an ETERNITY! I loved Nevermore. It was a great book... I'm also a HUGE Poe fan. He's one of my favorite classic authors, so Nevermore was a great read for me. I loved the use and take of Poe's work. Glad to hear someone else is as excited!

  5. Nice pick! Apparently, I need to read this series. Thanks for sharing!

  6. Nevermore is in the top four books that became my favorite this past year. It holds the number one slot out of the four. The other three were great too, but Nevermore gave me all I wanted in every way. Romance, high school goings on, dark is great. I can't wait to get my hands on Enshadowed. Just dying.. the other three books in my top four are: Daughter of Smoke and Bone, Book of Blood and Shadow, Unbecoming of Mara Dyer. :-)

    1. I haven't read your other three. Guess I need to get on that!

  7. Ahhhhh!!!!

I can't wait for it to be out!
