Random BEA Giveaway

I was at BEA last week.  You'll see all the books I got on the STS post Sunday, or you may have seen the pics I shared on social media.

I shipped one box home and filled a suitcase with the rest.  The shipped box arrived just fine but the books in the suitcase weren't so lucky.  I had an eight hour delay leaving New York because of rain and lightening.  It never occurred to me to worry about my luggage.  I just didn't think they would leave them out in the rain.  When I finally got to Denver, my luggage was wet.  The bag with books had some damage.

The worst of the damaged books were JLA books.  I had picked up quite a few that I already owned to give away.  I was lucky enough to have Jennifer sign most of them too.  I'm still going to give them away.

This one took some of the worst damage.  But really, I think it adds to the feel of the book.  After all it's kinda of a creepy who dun it kinda book.

It's still very readable and the signature is just fine.  If you want this book, check out the giveaway below.

  2. Oooh, I'm so very sorry about your books! I'd have a nervous breakdown if so many of my lovely books had been damaged thanks to careless people and rain. My favorite JLA book is actually Don't Look Down but I don't have a physical copy of it. Thanks for the giveaway. :)

  5. I think I would cry if my books got water damage! Although as long as they were readable it wouldn't make a difference. I once let my mom read one of my babies and she broke the spine. I was so upset I told her I wasn't going to share with her anymore. I have loved all of her books I have read so far, but my favorite would have to be Obsidian since it was my first and it got me started on he work. Thanks for the chance!

  13. That is a shame that your suitcase got wet! It sucks that they don't take care of people's personal belongings.
I loved Wicked and her Covenant series!

  14. I think my favorite JLA book would be a tie between Obsidian and White Hot Kiss! Can't wait for Every Last Breath to be released! Hope your other books weren't too damaged. I know the pain of water damaged books.
