Spent last weekend at ALA and came home with more books that I have ever brought home from an event!
This first pic are the books that I am taking to school for a raffle to encourage reading.
Here are the rest of the books. Duplicates will go to Jess or on the Giveaway pile. Many more will also go on the Giveaway pile. I have some scheduled for giveaway this week.
Hershey was supervising the picture taking.
Some for my Grandson
Some for my classes at school
Some cool things for me
I had a wonderful time at ALA. It was much more relaxed and enjoyable than BEA has ever been. And, of course, I loved seeing my good friend Krista from Krista's Dust Cover.
It was a great trip! Best part was I got home on time with no issues! Hooray.

I was rooming with Krista at ALA and one night we were both reading. This is the book she was reading. I witnessed her reactions as she finished this book. It became clear that I needed to have it too. And since it was ONLY 99¢, I one-clicked it right there!

That's what we added to our shelves this week! What do you think? What did you add to your stacks? Leave us a comment and link us up!
You made out so well at ALA Oh my gosh so many pretties and your dog is adorable! I got Brave Enough and Midnight Revenge recently too and I'm really excited for both. So glad Crossing Stars got there safely. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI've never been to a book conference. Now that I'm a language arts teacher, I think it's time!! Is this the best one, in your opinion?
ReplyDeleteAnd what's a bookworm box?
The Bookworm Box is a monthly subscription box where you get two signed books a month and some fun swag, and all profits go to charity! It was created and is run by Colleen Hoover and her family (plus volunteers), and there's a physical store, too. You can find more on their website: http://www.thebookwormbox.com/
DeleteALA conference are probably your best bet as a teacher. They are geared more to middle and YA books.
DeleteSo jealous. I want to go to ALA so bad! Maybe next year. Can't afford the one in Orlando this summer, even though it's the one I really, really want to go to. Is Hershey a dachshund? If so, how did I not know you had a dachshund? My favorite dogs in the world. :-) Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteCheck out my STS
Hershey is a dachshund. He's my third one. I love them best.
