WICKED Synopsis:
Things are about to get Wicked in New Orleans.
Twenty-two year old Ivy Morgan isn’t your average college student. She, and others like her, know humans aren’t the only thing trolling the French Quarter for fun… and for food. Her duty to the Order is her life. After all, four years ago, she lost everything at the hands of the creatures she’d sworn to hunt, tearing her world and her heart apart.
Ren Owens is the last person Ivy expected to enter her rigidly controlled life. He’s six feet and three inches of temptation and swoon-inducing charm. With forest-green eyes and a smile that’s surely left a stream of broken hearts in its wake, he has an uncanny, almost unnatural ability to make her yearn for everything he has to offer. But letting him in is as dangerous as hunting the cold-blooded killers stalking the streets. Losing the boy she loved once before had nearly destroyed her, but the sparking tension that grows between them becomes impossible for Ivy to deny. Deep down, she wants… she needs more than what her duty demands of her, what her past has shaped for her.
But as Ivy grows closer to Ren, she realizes she’s not the only one carrying secrets that could shatter the frail bond between them. There’s something he’s not telling her, and one thing is for certain. She’s no longer sure what is more dangerous to her—the ancient beings threatening to take over the town or the man demanding to lay claim to her heart and her soul.
Character Interview with Val from Wicked.
Hey girl!
Thanks so much for talking to me.
We share the same name! Mine was a compromise to keep my grandparents from naming me something horrid! You?
I’m not sure why my parents named me Valerie. I’ve never really thought to ask them. But most everyone calls me Val.
How did you meet Ivy? What was that like?
I was the first person that Ivy met when she came to the Order in New Orleans. We instantly got along, but it took Ivy awhile to really open up to me because she was so closed off. She’s lost a lot and I know that makes it harder for her to let anyone in.
And she’s your bestie? Did you bond over iced coffee or what?
She’s more than my bestie because if I like you enough to bring you iced coffee then that definitely means you’re important to me.
Spill it. Tell me something we don’t know about Ivy.
She’s my best friend! I’m like a vault of secrets, so there’s no way I’m going to spill anything on her.
Thoughts on Ren?
Ren is hot. Really freaking hot. I’d be all over that if it wasn’t for Ivy, but I wouldn’t even think of messing anything up for her. She’s been in the dry spell of the century.
Oh and that hot date for Saturday night? Does that go anywhere?
That night didn’t really go as planned, but I don’t have any complaints about where the other nights we’ve spent together have gone.
I know Ivy’s a bit protective of you but I’m feeling that way about you too. After all we share a name. No dying on me, k?
You know I’m in the Order, right?
You have quite the sense of style. Any favorites?
I love bright colors and long flowing skirts.
Thanks for hanging with me.
Giant hugs. We need to be friends for sure. Later.
