With the sudden tragic death of a fellow student, Madison questions her own life choices, and is now forced to evaluate everything she thought she believed in. When fate intervenes and partners her with Dean Jackson, a popular "all around good guy" from school, Madison gets a glimpse of a life that is filled with sunshine that has the power to break through the darkness she has cloaked herself in.
With Dean's help, Madison discovers a desire to finally step out of the shadows, and embrace life and all its gifts.

Krista Miller feels like she has lived her entire life in a glass box with her every emotion on display. She can’t help feeling like a defect as her sensitivities have made her socially inept and without any real friends; the one exception being the boy that visits her each night in her dreams.
Krista’s emotions are put to the test when a move to California triggers a devastating change to her fantasy world. The nightly comfort that the boy provides has now become a recurring nightmare as he is taken from her by an unseen force.
Struggling to appear normal, Krista enrolls in a new school and finds it to be nothing like she thought. Her new life is sent spiraling out of control from a strange connection with a boy, Mark, who claims to know all her secrets.
As Krista begins to explore the emotions that Mark evokes in her, secrets about their mysterious past and their predestined purpose threatens to separate them just when they have found each other.

Depends on my mood but usually cheating books! =)
ReplyDeleteI don't think I avoid any topics in books, at least not consciously. As long as a book is well-written and the blurb appeals to me I'll read it, no matter what it's about.
ReplyDeleteI don't avoid any topics, I love reading and I love surprises and variety of stories :)
ReplyDeleteI tend to avoid real wars, pregnancy, and cowboys.
ReplyDeleteAs long as the story interests me I'll take a chance and read it. I'm like Carla Bosch Clar. If I avoid topics in a book it's not consciously =]
ReplyDeleteI don't think I avoid that many topics but sometimes if I think a book is too dark or heavy because of a topic then I'll avoid it.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I avoid any topics
ReplyDeleteI usually avoid religion, and depending on my mood, some disturbing themes.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I avoid that many topics.. though sometimes I dont like adultery and cheating but still depends on my mood if I will read them.
ReplyDeleteI tend to avoid religion and teen pregnancy
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing mile marker! Congrats, I hope you continue to love it!
ReplyDeleteI usually don't avoid anything
ReplyDeletewell not really but there are things i prefer, like romance with thrillers, paranomals mysterys, so as long as there are those elements i don't mind i don't really like sad books i get so much of that in real life so i do tend to avoid any thing to sad. i like thrillers like serial killers, things like that cause i don't think of it to " sad" more fiction but real life sad. thanks for the giveaway
ReplyDeleteI usually try to avoid religious books, anything that seems too dark or child abuse. I go mostly for sweet romantic supernatural books. I've read all of these kind of books and they were written very well but just didn't apple me to read anything similar in the future.
ReplyDeleteYes! I tend to avoid books with threesomes, are overly explicit erotica. I like my romances to have a deep love story, not just sex.
ReplyDeleteYes! I hate books with threesome. I don't even finish a book if there is that kind of scene
ReplyDeleteAbuse, hard violence. These I avoid.
ReplyDeleteI'm really into cheating in books, or anywhere really. But sometimes its interesting, or important to have them in so depends on the book i suppose :)
ReplyDeleteI can't think of any topics that I avoid in books.
ReplyDeleteNothing I go out of my way to avoid.

In response to your question of
Are there some topics that you avoid in books?
No if a book sounds interesting i'll read it.
Thank you for having this giveaway!!!!!!!!!
I have yet to come across a topic that leaves me not wanting to read it.
ReplyDeleteI am pretty much open to reading anything. I do tend to avoid adult fiction, but purely for the content, not necessarily the plot lines.
ReplyDeleteI'm not trying to avoid any topics,I try to be open minded,I like to be surprised:)
ReplyDeleteNot specifically. If I read the blurb and it has a mix of things and it doesn't sound like I could handle it well than I don't. But normally I am up for almost anything. I do stay away from some themes if I hear it is drowned it, like say child abuse, but if it is just something that happened and is mentioned only minorly I will proceed. It is kind of a grey thing with me. I can handle most anything unless it is done poorly or without tact.
ReplyDeleteThere isn't any topic that I truly try to avoid in books.
ReplyDeleteThere are no topics that I avoid in books.( I read pretty much everything.)

ReplyDeleteNone whatsoever.
ReplyDeleteCan't think of anything at the moment. Maybe pregnancy, kind of.
ReplyDeleteI avoid religious books mainly. But if a book can have characters that are religious without being preachy, I can handle those.
ReplyDeleteIt really depends on the synopsis.
ReplyDeleteI avoid "gay" topics, sexual explicitness, Profanity
ReplyDeleteI try to avoid love triangles... doesn't work out well.
ReplyDeleteI try not to read terminal illness books, they are not uplifting and they tend to make me depressed for a couple of days, which is not my cup of tea.
ReplyDeleteNot really, but I don't like rape and abuse in stories, especially when these things are glorified or put forth as acceptable.
ReplyDeleteBooks with sexual abuse.. I can't. I want to read books that make me happy, not angry and sad.
ReplyDeletei don't avoid any topics, I love read every type of history, usually i read a lot of things haha and i love that.
ReplyDeletei will read about mostly anything but not big on cancer only because it is too real i like to excape when i read so any subject that hits to close to home for me is just not good for me, like real life stuff or death in real life ways. thank you so much
