Excerpts
He slammed the club into the ground and leaned against the handle, breathing hard. "Kiora, I have never seen or heard of a village girl that had magical powers. I have never seen a simple girl go and fly off with a dragon. I have never seen a girl who cries so much, but is brave enough to risk her life for others. I have never seen anybody appear so weak," he picked up the club and threw it back into the chest "and be so strong." Unsheathing his sword he started running drills. (Kindle Location 2029 of 6238)
Leaning back in he kissed her gently on her forehead. She smiled, nearly laughing with an explosion of blissful happiness. Looking down at her he took her hand in his, "Should we get some sleep?"
She couldn't do anything but nod. Sliding underneath the blankets he held his arm out, "Come here." She moved over to him placing her head on his chest as he wrapped his arms around her. She drifted off to sleep, more peaceful than she had been in a long time. (Kindle location 2243 of 6238)
Wings of Arian
Kiora thought
she had never heard a lie until she was sixteen. But she was wrong. Her entire
existence was based on nothing but. She thought that evil did not exist. Lie.
That magic was not real. Lie. And that the land of Meros was all there was. One
more lie.

She reluctantly
dips her toe into her new existence of magic and threads, dragons and
shapeshifters, and the person who wants to take control of it all: the evil
Dralazar.
However, this
journey was never meant to be hers alone. She will be accompanied by a
Protector. To her disbelief, and utter irritation they name the hotheaded,
stubborn, non -magical, (albeit gorgeous) Prince Emane. They will have to trust
each other with their lives, but right now Kiora would settle for a non hostile
conversation.
And now it comes
down to this, If you had never heard a lie, would you know when you heard one?
Is knowing good from evil innate? Kiora finds herself having to decide who
lives and who dies on those very questions.
