Dantie's Girl by Courtney Cole ~ Review

Source:  Receive eBook copy from author in exchange for a fair and honest review.

My Summary:

What do volcano eruptions and trips to visit Dad have in common.  Well the first prevented the second for Reese.  But luckily Dante was there.  The gorgeous son of the Prime Minister of a Mediterranean paradise, Reese is attracted to him immediately. The problem is the complications that come with being the son of a leader of a country.  Responsibility, image, and security threats get in the way of what could be a fabulous summer interning for his families business.  It's clear that Reese has fallen for Dente and that he wants her as his girl, but can a farm girl from Kansas really fit in with this wealthy political family?

My Thoughts:

4 stars:  A cute romance that made me laugh

As Reese would say,  "Sweet baby monkeys." This book is so cute and cuddly that I just want to wrap up in it and read it again.  I've read some pretty serious reads lately and I was really in the mood for a fun, lighthearted read.  Reese is hysterical with her internal dialog chastising herself for how frequently she says surely!  Her policy to be honest is refreshing and leads to her confession of her feeling to Dante.  She is just too cute.

Dante is the well polished son of a politician who's life has been planned for him.  He hungers to break free of that and Reese is just the girl to get him to do that.  I love that he is charming, thoughtful and in need of some direction in his life.  His feeling for Reese are obvious to everyone in the story, except for perhaps Reese.

The story is cute and completely out of the realm of possible for most girls that live in Kansas.  But it's a fun fantasy to watch unfold.  There was a little mystery to be solved in the tale as well.  While I saw it coming, I enjoyed it just the same.

Not as heavy as some of the things I've read lately, I loved it and recommend it everyone who likes a sweet romance.

  9. Yes Dante's Girl is on the fluffy side and something that would never happen to anyone but this book will definitely put you in a great mood. Especially the scenes with Dante. He knows all the right words and moves. I can't wait to read Mia and Quinn's story.
