My Summary:

What if the gorgeous man you dreamed of was real? What if the incredibly unbelievable world of elements and a  fierce war you fight in during your dreaming hours were real?  Thinking that her dreams are an outlet for the unhappiness she feels for her real life, Zoe Morgan finds her erotic dreams about Mr. Perfect the perfect escape even when they turn strange.  But as the dreams start to seep into her real life with whale voices in her head and dangerous fyres after her, Zoe has to decide if Mr. Perfect could possible be very real. As Zoe figures out the truth, she has to decide how willing she is to help this man she may love in the war within her dreams.

My Thoughts:

4 stars -My dreams may never be the same again!

So this book was a first for me.  I've never really read a paranormal with a dream world like this before.  Alternating between the dream world and the real world, this story has a unique feel to it.  There were many new terms to keep track of but luckily there's a glossary in the back.  I soon learned the terms and found myself rooting for this very strong female, Zoe Morgan.

The book dives in and I learned along the way to understand the dreamscenes and how the different elements worked.  It's interesting that this elemental book focused on balance of the elements where so many others specialized on one element.  This felt fresh and captured my interest.

Written is multiple POVs, I struggled when it's wasn't one of the two MC.  I think that I've learned that I prefer two POVs tops.  This book had a lot and sometimes new ones popped up.  I don't care for that but that's just me.  I found that when a new section started and it wasn't one of the two MC, I would put the book down for a while.  If it was Zoe or Gavin, I just kept reading.

I couldn't wait to find out what happened to Zoe and Gavin.  As the pages went by, I figured out things along the way but the ending was so totally perfect that I just laughed and smiled when the last page was done.

If paranormal romance is your thing, then you will for sure want to find out what's the deal with Zoe and Gavin.

Quotes I loved:

"Randy would fire your a** if he knew you were Captain Kirk-ing it again."  Page 31

She turned to him.  Lids blinked in slow motion, lips parted with subtle invitation.  The corners of her mouth turned up, and her eyes narrowed on his, brighter than diamonds.  The crow's feet lining them deepened with her smile.  She grasped his shoulder and pressed her lips to his without warning.

Whoa.

The kiss slapped him silly, but sparked hunger drove his confusion away.  A gentle urgency radiated from the softness of her mouth and into his.  Her song kicked up, the connection intensified, and he got so lost in her lips, he'd need a map to find his way back.  Page 112

He wrapped his muse tighter in his arms, covering as much of her as he could get hold of.  Devouring the warmth of her mouth, he rubbed her back under her tee shirt.  Sh**, could they do this for a decade or two?

When their lips parted, her fingers slid through his wet hair, down his cheeks to cup his face.  Page 208

"Do you mind if I try that lip?"  She enunciated every syllable, stressing a few with a higher pitch than the others.

He shrugged as desire ripped and thrashed against the hull of his chest, demanding freedom.  Dreamsense picked up no sign of Fyres nearby.

"Have at it, Muse, but don't expect-"

The heat of her mouth cut off his words, sending him to an undiscovered planet.  Tugging at the ring piercing his bottom lip, sucking hard, she swept hands through his wet hair. Page 233

  3. I also enjoyed this book and the sequel. I totally agree with the multiple POV thing. Two is my limit with Where You Are by Tammara Webber being the exception and the only multi-pov I've found easy to follow
