Swoon Thursday ~ 12/24/15

The fabulous girls over at YA Bound created this super HOT meme.  Here's how it works.

From the book you’re currently reading, or one you just finished, tell us what made you SWOON. What got your heart pounding, your skin tingling, and your stomach fluttering.

Shout it out on Twitter with the hashtag #YABound, post it here in the comments, or grab the adorable button above and share it on your blog! I want to know & so do the chicks at YABound!

Assassin. Soldier. Arrow. That is who Vasic is, who he will always be. His soul drenched in blood, his conscience heavy with the weight of all he’s done, he exists in the shadows, far from the hope his people can almost touch—if only they do not first drown in the murderous insanity of a lethal contagion. To stop the wave of death, Vasic must complete the simplest and most difficult mission of his life.

For if the Psy race is to survive, the empaths must wake…

Having rebuilt her life after medical “treatment” that violated her mind and sought to stifle her abilities, Ivy should have run from the black-clad Arrow with eyes of winter frost. But Ivy Jane has never done what she should. Now, she'll fight for her people, and for this Arrow who stands as her living shield, yet believes he is beyond redemption. But as the world turns to screaming crimson, even Ivy’s fierce will may not be enough to save Vasic from the cold darkness…

Swoon...

Holding the clear copper of her eyes, he slide his hand below the fine weave of the sweater to touch warm supple skin.  Ivy inhaled sharply.  Her pulse a drumbeat agains the curve of her neck.  Fascinated once again by the small movement that told him so much and made his own pulse race to match, he bent his head to press his mouth to it.  He sucked, even grazed with his teeth.  One of Ivy's hands rose from his waistband to curve over his nape, holding him to her throat as she made a small incoherent sound.  Her response ignited unadulterated passiveness in him, making him want to devour and to cherish in equal measures.  He hadn't understood what it meant to cherish before Ivy.  Now he knew it was about giving her what she needed, showing her what she was to him.  Everything.  (Chapter 50 of the audiobook)

Yeah, this one is in the running for favorite of the series.  There are now THREE tied for this position.  So love this book.  Vasic has never kissed or been kissed.  His emotion buried in the silence protocol that is destroying his race.  So this is his first time.  And I adore this broken man.

Sacked (Gridiron, #1)What he wants he gets...

Knox Masters is a quarterback's worst nightmare. Warrior. Champion. And...virgin. Knox knows what he wants--and he gets it. All American Football player? Check. NFL pros scouting him? Check. Now, he's set his sight on two things. The national title. And Ellie Campbell. Sure, she's the sister of his fellow teammate, but that's not going to stop him. Especially not when he’s convinced Ellie is the one.

...but he's never met her before.

But Ellie isn't as sure. She's trying to start a new life and she's not interested in a relationship...with anyone. Beside it's not just her cardinal rule of never dating her brother's teammates that keeps her away, but Ellie has a dark secret that would jeopardize everything Knox is pursuing.

Knox has no intention of losing. Ellie has no intention of giving in.

Swoon...

With exquisite care, he reaches over and buckles me in. Satisfied that I'm secured, he reaches a hand up to my face and brushes my hair back. "I love you, Eliot. I still love you."
Water drips down my face. "If you want me to stop crying, you can't say those things to me." I clutch at his hand and press waterlogged kisses into his palm.
He releases a small huff of laughter. "I guess you'll cry a lot then."
"Will you cry if I tell you I love you back?" I nuzzle my cheek into his hand.
"Maybe. Why don't you give it a try?" The evenness of his voice is an effort.
"I love you."
He doesn't cry, but his eyes soften toward me and love shines through; better than tears in my opinion.

(I totally cut something out of that which would have been a spoiler, just FYI.)

KNOX AND ELLIE ARE SO CUTE I CANNOT EVEN. I love them (especially Knox). So. Freaking. SWEET. Ahhhhh. *swoons all day every day*

Those are our swoons for this week! What do you think? Do you have a swoon to share? Leave us a comment and link us up!
