About Built...

From the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the Marked Men books comes an electrifying new spin-off series, Saints of Denver, featuring all the characters fans have been dying to read about.

Sayer Cole and Zeb Fuller couldn’t be more different. She’s country club and fine-dining, he’s cell-block and sawdust. Sayer spends her days in litigation, while Zeb spends his working with his hands. She’s French silk, he’s all denim and flannel.

Zeb’s wanted the stunning blonde since the moment he laid eyes on her. It doesn't matter how many smooth moves he makes, the reserved lawyer seems determinedly oblivious to his interest—either that or she doesn't return it. Sayer is certain the rough, hard, hot-as-hell Zeb could never want someone as closed off and restrained as she is, which is a shame because something tells her he might be the guy to finally melt her icy exterior.

But just as things start to heat up, Zeb is blindsided by a life altering moment from his past. He needs Sayer’s professional help to right a wrong and to save more than himself. He can’t risk what’s at stake just because his attraction to Sayer feels all consuming. But as these opposites dig in for the fight of their lives, battling together to save a family, the steam created when fire and ice collide can no longer be ignored.

I'm a huge Jay Crownover fan and I loved the Marked Men series so I was super excited to read the start of this spin-off series.  Lots of expectations for this one.  I wasn't disappointed.

This author has a way of combining sexy tatted guys, real problems and great characters to make enjoyable reads.  Yep, she did it again.

I adore Zeb.  He's real.  Five years out of jail with plenty of tats and a beard, some may not see him as the perfect guy but I disagree.  His heart is so perfect.  First, the jail stay had my heart hurting for him.  I want to say more but I won't.  Just, that I love Zeb and his heart.  He's protective, generous and kind.  When he gives his heart, he gives his all.  To family.  To his profession.  To his lover.  And his patience is great even as it hurts him to wait.  I adore him so much.

Sayer is real.  She's got some issues.  Real issues.  While she comes from money, the issues can be present at any income level.  Real.  That's how this book feels.  Every person is a product of their past and that past can really color the present.  And it isn't always easy to deal with the present that was created.  I guess I like that there is an emphasis on that in this book.  It's not matter of accepting things.  You have to deal with them.  Sayer has a lot to work through but she always sells herself short. While I wanted so much for her to have her happy, I understood she needed to accept her happy.  I was cheering for her.

As always, this author delivers a great story.

The perfect balance of sexy and sweet, Built is a great foundation for this new series.

  1. I would pick my kitchen. It's 20 years old and I would love to change some things about it.

  2. I would enlarge the bathroom and get a nice big tub!!

  3. ummm... a historical building back to it's original design ;) thanks for sharing!

  4. Enlarge our dining room and den...thank you for the great giveaway and post.

  5. I would build a lovely house in the middle of the woods.

  6. I would build a new house, in the minimalist style using less space, but more efficiently and wisely. I love Jay - thanks for the chance! :)

  7. I really need to read more by this author. This one sounds good!

  8. I would renovate my Grandmother's house.

  9. My kitchen for sure. What a disaster.

  10. My kitchen. I am working on it slowly.

  11. I'd have to go with an old Victorian house - love that style and would love to restore one to its former glory.

  12. Everything... but kitchen and bath.

  13. I would build a house. I live in an apartment and I would love a house, not a big one but something of my own

  14. I would add on to the 2nd level of our house to make the rooms upstairs larger, completely redo the bathroom and add a large soaker tub with a separate shower, increase the walk-in closet, and build a reading room with a deck that overlooked our back yard.

  15. I'd build a house just like my old house. It was beautiful, and I spent my whole childhood there. It has the best memories. I would change a couple mistakes it had, though. Maybe. I guess. Hahaha.

  16. Definitely renovate my kitchen followed by the basement

  17. I would finish renovating our house that was built in 1912.

  18. I would renovate my floor...from the bottom up and replace rotted wood and put in nice, new flooring that will last forever!

  19. I'd build my dream home, with a pool in the backyard.

  20. I would build my dream house which would look historical with lots of nooks and crannies and a huge library in it.

  21. I'd love to build a library with built in shelves in the walls.. with, of course, an attached ladder on wheels to reach the high books.

  22. My house, so we could add some things we want or some we would like to be different, including of course a place for all the books.

  23. This author is so popular and I know you love her books so I hope to make time for her one day. Great review!

  24. I would renovate an old farmhouse similar not the one I grew up in.

  25. I would love to redo my bedroom.

  26. I would redo a lot of things in my house I think. Great review. Looking forward to reading this and thanks for the giveaway.

  27. I would buy a house with more than 2 bathrooms.

  28. I would love to build a cabin in the middle of a mountain, or should I say I would love to build a ranch. I would also love to build a car from the ground up a 1976 Chevy nova
    Thanks for the chance

  29. I would love to get my hands on an old house and completely renovate it with my husband! It's a lifelong dream!

  30. I would design and build my own home from the ground up, probably a log cabin sort of structure.

  31. I'd love to renovate our kitchen...rearrange and put in all new cabinets. Or add on a room :)

  32. 1973 Mach I Ford Mustang with a 351 Cleveland engine. Red with Black Stripes.

  33. I would love to renovate my grandparents old home in Southern Colorado.

  34. I would renovate my kitchen and bathroom. I would love it if both were bigger in size
