About Built...

From the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the Marked Men books comes an electrifying new spin-off series, Saints of Denver, featuring all the characters fans have been dying to read about.

Sayer Cole and Zeb Fuller couldn’t be more different. She’s country club and fine-dining, he’s cell-block and sawdust. Sayer spends her days in litigation, while Zeb spends his working with his hands. She’s French silk, he’s all denim and flannel.

Zeb’s wanted the stunning blonde since the moment he laid eyes on her. It doesn't matter how many smooth moves he makes, the reserved lawyer seems determinedly oblivious to his interest—either that or she doesn't return it. Sayer is certain the rough, hard, hot-as-hell Zeb could never want someone as closed off and restrained as she is, which is a shame because something tells her he might be the guy to finally melt her icy exterior.

But just as things start to heat up, Zeb is blindsided by a life altering moment from his past. He needs Sayer’s professional help to right a wrong and to save more than himself. He can’t risk what’s at stake just because his attraction to Sayer feels all consuming. But as these opposites dig in for the fight of their lives, battling together to save a family, the steam created when fire and ice collide can no longer be ignored.

Review...

I'm a huge Jay Crownover fan and I loved the Marked Men series so I was super excited to read the start of this spin-off series.  Lots of expectations for this one.  I wasn't disappointed.

This author has a way of combining sexy tatted guys, real problems and great characters to make enjoyable reads.  Yep, she did it again.

I adore Zeb.  He's real.  Five years out of jail with plenty of tats and a beard, some may not see him as the perfect guy but I disagree.  His heart is so perfect.  First, the jail stay had my heart hurting for him.  I want to say more but I won't.  Just, that I love Zeb and his heart.  He's protective, generous and kind.  When he gives his heart, he gives his all.  To family.  To his profession.  To his lover.  And his patience is great even as it hurts him to wait.  I adore him so much.

Sayer is real.  She's got some issues.  Real issues.  While she comes from money, the issues can be present at any income level.  Real.  That's how this book feels.  Every person is a product of their past and that past can really color the present.  And it isn't always easy to deal with the present that was created.  I guess I like that there is an emphasis on that in this book.  It's not matter of accepting things.  You have to deal with them.  Sayer has a lot to work through but she always sells herself short. While I wanted so much for her to have her happy, I understood she needed to accept her happy.  I was cheering for her.

As always, this author delivers a great story.

The perfect balance of sexy and sweet, Built is a great foundation for this new series.
