Whether you enjoy celebrating Christmas or Hanukkah, Winter Solstice or New Year's there's something here for everyone. So curl up by the fireplace and get cozy. You have twelve reasons this season to stay indoors and fall in love.

Griffin Teen surprised me with this lovely book this last week.

It's a collection of twelve holiday stories.

Midnights by Rainbow Rowell
The Lady and the Fox by Kelly Link
Angels in the Snow by Matt De La Pena
Polaris is Where You'll Find Me by Jenny Han
It's a Yuletide Miracle, Charlie Brown by Stephanie Perkins
Your Temporary Santa by David Levithan
Krampuslauf by Holly Black
What the Hell Have You Done, Sophie Roth? by Gayle Gorman
Beer Buckets and Baby Jesus by Myra Mcentire
Welcome to Christmas, CA by Kiersten White
Star of Bethlehem by Ally Carter
The Girl Who Woke the Dreamer by Laini Taylor

I've read one so far...

I picked Angels in the Snow by Matt De La Pena to read first.  I liked the title so I started it and then it sucked me right in.  I love it when an author can capture a whole story in forty or fifty pages and that's certainly the case with this one.

I was immediately drawn to the characters and I cared about both Shy and Haley.  Even Olive had my heart - and I don't like cats.

This is a great holiday read and I enjoyed an hour reading it.  And that's one of the best parts of an anthology -- so many great hours packed into one book.

If you're looking for some holiday reads that won't take all your time this busy time of the year, this is a great choice.

  1. I really want to read this one! The cover (especially the American version) is just so cute, which excites me even more. Thanks for this feature! The gif at the end is adorable too :)

  2. Love it when a story takes up an hour or two maybe even three and you don't notice it.
