Tessa Ever After (Caged In Winter, #2) by Brighton Walsh

In this grippingly emotional New Adult novel from the author of Caged in Winter, what you want isn’t always what you need…

Jason’s been living (and loving) the rich playboy lifestyle for five years, but now his parents are pressuring him to get involved in the family business. The last thing he wants is another obligation, but when his best friend moves out of state and asks Jason to look after his sister, he can’t just say no.

Tessa had to grow up way too soon. After dealing with the aftermath of her parents’ deaths, then becoming a teenage mom, she knows the meaning of responsibility. Which is why, at twenty-two, she’s looking for so much more than a party boy. She’s looking for someone who can stand by her and her daughter…forever.

A relationship between them is doomed from the start, but who says they can’t have a little fun? But as Jason gets closer to Tessa—and her daughter—fun starts to turn into something else… Something Jason’s not sure he’s ready for.

Review...

This book rocks.   I got it early and it so wasn't on my reading schedule but I couldn't resist it.  I so loved Caged in Winter and just wanted more.  (Btw, this one can be read stand alone).  It came one day and by the next day I was picking it up and diving in.  I couldn't resist it sitting on my desk.

I met Jason and Tesssa in Caged In Winter and they were great but now I love them.  They both have problems that make them real peeps.  Jason has parents that want to run his life, holding their love and money over his head.  Tessa make a mistake early but now she has Hailey to love.

They've known each other for years and Tessa has had a crush on Jason in the past but she knows he's a party boy.  But when her brother, Cage, leaves town for a job, Tessa starts relying on Jason to help her when things fall apart.  As Jason spends more and more time with her and Hailey, it becomes clear that he's exactly what she looking for.  The chemistry is certainly there.  Smokin' hot, against the wall, gonna make you come right now girl, kinda chemistry!

Jason's skills excite Tessa like no one ever has.  And she's like no one else for Jason.  He finds himself not running when things get real between them.  What does make him crazy is the idea of her being with anyone else.  But his parents are used to controlling his life.  He has to make a choice.  Who does he want forever with.

This is the kind of book that you just want to live in.  The relationship develops and you get lots of sexy times to share with them.  I love it when the couple has time to be a couple for a lot of pages.  It's always the best part.  Yes, their relationship gets tested and I was more than happy with the results.  It was just what they needed.

There are a lot of New Adult books on the market these days but few that combine incredible characters, sexy times and great story that has you turning the pages quickly.  When I was done, I just wanted to read it again.  I couldn't convince myself to start anything else.  I just wanted Jason and Tessa stay in the front of my mind a bit longer.
