Celebration with Nyrae Dawn!

Welcome to a month long celebration!

What am I celebrating?

This!

And it's gone up since then!

I'm a little EXCITED that it's pasted 750,000!!!!

SO, I'm celebrating!

All month I will be posting interview and featuring books from some of my favorite authors!

Of course, there will be a HUGE giveaway to go along with it!
For every author that participates, I will add one of their books to the giveaway.  Every book will have a winner! This will be BIG!

Who do I have today?

Nyrae Dawn!
(a.k.a Kelley Vitollo)

I’m celebrating passing 700,000 page views on Stuck In Books and I’m so happy you’re here with me for that.

Hope you don’t mind me being silly with you for a bit.  Gotta have some fun, ya know.  Does it make me strange that I want to celebrate with authors?  It’s a bookish thing.
No it doesn’t make you strange. It’s fun!

When you want to celebrate something fabulous, what do you do?

With writing time? LOL. Kidding… kind of. I celebrate with my family, friends or yes, sometimes I celebrate with reading or writing. Like you said, it’s a bookish thing!

My celebrating beverage is Coke Zero. I know, I’m weird.  What’s your celebrating beverage of choice?

A Pina Colada! Or…you know, Lipton passion fruit mango green tea J

I tend to hang out at parks with my one-year-old grandson for celebrations.  Where is your celebration destination of choice? It depends.

We took the kids to Disney to celebrate something earlier this year. Sometimes it’s the bookstore, or out to dinner.

I might get stuck in a book to celebrate.  Who am I kidding; of course that’s how I celebrate.  (Buying a book is the best kind of celebration!) What was the last book you got stuck in?

I read THE DISTANCE BETWEEN US by Kasie West and really liked it. It was a good contemporary YA.

New adult books have become my new love.  Do you have a genre that you prefer to read or write over all others?

I love them all for different reasons. I read and write adult, YA and NA and find something in all of them for me. The strange thing is when I’m reading NA or YA, I read mostly contemporary but when I read adult, I read mostly paranormal.

If you had to re-write the three little pigs or the three bears into a new adult book, which would you choose and how would you do it?

I think I would choose the three pigs. I love the three of them besting the wolf together. Friendship power!

You’re building the perfect ice cream sundae to share with one character from one of your books.  What’s on the sundae and who are you sharing it with? Yeah – you need to explain your choice.

Well I love chocolate and strawberries so those are both definitely on it and I’m sharing it with Adrian from Façade… He is sexy and he pays attention and those things are all kinds of hot.

You have woke up in the middle of one of your books but things aren’t unfolding as you thought.  Which character has sabotaged the story and how will you convince them to fix it?

Hmm that’s a tough question. I’m going to go with OUT OF PLAY and Maryanne is trying to sabotage things. She’s not one who is easily convinced though so I think it will take the tough, hockey playing Penny to get the job done!

You know my good news, what’s yours?  (What’s the new book/project you got going or any other thing you’d like to share with peeps).

OUT OF PLAY was released in ebook and paperback on August. Also the print release of FAÇADE is out on September 24th. I’m really excited to see it in bookstores.

Rock star drummer Bishop Riley doesn't have a drug problem. Celebrities—especially ones suffering from anxiety—just need a little help taking the edge off sometimes. After downing a few too many pills, Bishop wakes up in the hospital facing an intervention. If he wants to stay in the band, he’ll have to detox while under house arrest in Seldon, Alaska.

Hockey player Penny Jones can't imagine a life outside of Seldon. Though she has tons of scholarship offers to all the best schools, the last thing she wants is to leave. Who'll take care of her absentminded gramps? Not her mother, who can’t even be bothered to come home from work, let alone deal with their new tenants next door.

Penny’s not interested in dealing with Bishop’s crappy attitude, and Bishop’s too busy sneaking pills to care. Until he starts hanging out with Gramps and begins to see what he’s been missing. If Bishop wants a chance with the fiery girl next door, he’ll have to admit he has a problem and kick it. Too bad addiction is hard to kick…and Bishop’s about to run out of time.

NOW the GIVEAWAY part!

So, for every author that I interview, I will be adding a book to this giveaway. Every book will have a winner. It's the same giveaway all month, I'll just be adding to it.
