Teaser Tuesday 9-20-11

This is a weekly bookish meme is hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading.
To participate you:
* Grab your current read
* Open to a random page
* Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
* BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS!
(Make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
* Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

This weeks teaser comes from Tankborn by Karen Sandler

If she only considered the high-priced Bullet and the two boys' extravagant clothes, she would have pegged them as high-status trueborns.  But their pale skin and the green glint of their emerald bali in their right earlobes meant they were demi-status, not high. page 3

So what do you think?   I just started it but already it's clear this book is collection of new words or meaning, dystopia for sure.  Let me know your teaser in the comments or a link.

  1. Oooo...I have not heard of this book, but the cover is really cool and I love the teaser. It's full of the unfamiliar and I want to find out what all the terms and slang mean. Adding this to my TBR :)
