He returned to River Haven seeking sanctuary, but the past is determined to follow him.
In the wake of his estranged wife’s murder, widower Michael Forster returns to the Amish community he’d left as a teen. He wants a fresh start for himself and his daughter, Allie, away from those who still believe he’s guilty. In River Haven, a quieter life seems possible. If only Allie’s Amish schoolteacher, Catherine Brandt, was easier to ignore.
A problem solver by nature, Cathy can tell Allie’s withdrawn demeanor isn’t due to shyness. But getting through to Allie also means breaching her father’s hardened defenses. What starts as persistence soon grows into an attraction neither Cathy nor Michael saw coming. When the past suddenly threatens both his daughter and the woman he loves, Michael must risk everything to save them.

I would go to a beach community, somewhere with artists and nature.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds amazing!
DeleteI'd live in the mountains, near a stream and a beautiful meadow where I could have a big garden!
ReplyDeletePretty sure that's where I'd want to be too!
DeleteI would love to go back in time! I don't like the idea of getting older....
ReplyDeleteA quiet cabin in the woods somewhere.
ReplyDeleteThat does sound nice.
DeleteI probably would just move to a different state
ReplyDeleteI might have a hard time deciding.
DeleteFor a fresh start I would like to go to Hawaii.
ReplyDeleteOoooo I like this idea!
DeleteA beach town
ReplyDeleteSuch a good choice.
DeleteI don't know if I'd go for a fresh start. If I could go for a fresh start without all the medical problems and finanacial burdens I have now, maybe. However, knowing what I know about the medical conditions I'm predisposed to, I don't know if I'd go for a new start or not because I still wouldn't have the money to pay for any medical treatments that I'd need. I'ts a coin toss right now.
ReplyDeletenot sure
ReplyDeleteI like the mountains or maybe a waterfall!
