This is my version of Waiting on Wednesday but with more cuddles, books I can't wait to cuddle for various reasons.
What are we waiting on this week? THIS!
Inspire by Cora Carmack
Kalliope lives with one purpose.
To inspire.
As an immortal muse, she doesn’t have any other choice. It’s part of how she was made. Musicians, artists, actors—they use her to advance their art, and she uses them to survive. She moves from one artist to the next, never staying long enough to get attached. But all she wants is a different life— a normal one. She’s spent thousands of years living lie after lie, and now she’s ready for something real.
Sweet, sexy, and steady, Wilder Bell feels more real than anything else in her long existence. And most importantly… he’s not an artist. He doesn’t want her for her ability. But she can’t turn off the way she influences people, not even to save a man she might love. Because in small doses, she can help make something beautiful, but her ability has just as much capacity to destroy as it does to create. The longer she stays, the more obsessed Wilder will become. It’s happened before, and it never turns out well for the mortal.
Her presence may inspire genius.
But it breeds madness, too.
Why am I waiting? Um...Cora Carmack...check. New Adult...check. Paranormal...double check. That's why!
Fall with Me (Wait for You #4) by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Eleven months ago, bartender and weird-shirt-wearing extraordinaire Roxy and Officer Reece Anders had a one night stand. Well, kind of. She’s been in love with him since she was fifteen, and he wishes that night they shared never happened. She’s sworn him off forever, but the past and future collide, forcing her to rely on the one man who broke her heart not once, but twice.
Her best friend since birth has been in a long-term care facility since he became a victim of a hate crime years ago, and the person who put him in there is out of prison and wanting to make amends with him and Roxy. She’s not sure she has room for forgiveness in her and when she begins to receive frightening messages and is on the receiving end of escalating violence, she thinks she knows who is to blame. The man who already destroyed one life already.
But Reece isn’t convinced. The threats are too personal, and even if Roxy doesn’t believe him, he’s not willing to let anyone hurt her. Including himself. He’s already messed up more than once when it comes to Roxy and he’s not going to let history repeat itself.
Why I'm waiting? Well, this is a JLA book. That means I'm automatically making all kinds of grabby hands. SERIOUS grabby hands. Like, I-think-I-just-pulled-something kind of grabby hands. And I'm so excited to learn about Roxy and Reece. Based on that synopsis, it's going to be so freaking fabulous. So now I guess we're back to my grabby hands, which are pretty much never-ending when it comes to JLA.
That's what we're waiting on this week! What do you think? What are you waiting on? Let us know in the comments!
Oh both great choices! Inspire sounds so good and of course we know Fall With Me will be awesome.
