Teaser Tuesday ~ 5/15/18

This is a weekly bookish meme hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading.

To participate you:
* Grab your current read
(Make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
* Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Helicopter pilot Taylor Blankenship’s time schedule is maxed out. Between his job, his one-hundred and fifty pound slobbering mess of a dog, and his matchmaking grandmother, he has no time for anyone or anything-especially a woman. If only there were a way to get Grams to back down.

The job of New York City dog walker suits Caitlin Ramos perfectly while she preps for her CPA exam—steady, scheduled, and requiring very little human interaction; a huge seller since she’s still on the mend from a toxic relationship. Men suck. Especially her bossy hot client with the Saint Bernard that thinks it’s a lap dog. No way will she go for his plan to pretend they’re engaged to get his grandmother off his case. Down, boy.

Offered a bargain she can’t refuse, Caitlin finds herself playing the part of fiancĂ©e to Taylor. Fortunately, it’s only for three days. All she has to do is fake a relationship with Mr. Bossy Pants in front of his entire family, survive a fierce game of truth or dare with an unscrupulous pair of octogenarians, endure a one-on-one round of Twister with Taylor, and not lose her heart to a guy who turns out to be a lot more than she’d bargained for.

Beau went practically berserk, scratching the door and whining like a puppy.  Clearly, he knew the person on the other side.  After another knock, the door opened and the older woe man she recognized from the family photos on the bookshelf stepped inside and froze, key in hand.
Her large brown eyes traveled from Beau to Caitlin, scanning her from her bare feet, to her clinging T-shirt, to her wet hair.  Caitlin took a breath to introduce herself right as the woman's gaze locked on the ring and a huge grin spread across her face.
"Well, it's about damn time."  (Kindle location 204)

Ring.  As in pretty diamond ring someone was trying on.  Yeah, this is so not a good thing.  Pretty much a misunderstanding right there.  Hehe.  The good kind.

Forgiveness and Permission (The Ghost Bird, #4)Sang Sorenson’s abusive mother is secure in a hospital, and her father has vanished to a new family of his own, leaving Sang and her sister to fend for themselves. Sang is hanging by a thread, and her only hope is a group of boys she feels she barely knows.

She’s never really alone. The Academy team has stepped in, promising to protect and care for Sang. Kota, Victor, Silas, Nathan, Gabriel, Luke and North take over, showing Sang they can be depended on for anything. But just because the parents are away, doesn’t mean Sang’s life has become any easier.

The newfound freedom will have a higher price than any of them had imagined.

Principal Hendricks now wants to use Sang to exploit Academy secrets. Mr. McCoy has his own dark plans for her. Enemies are closing in. Sang will need to learn to believe in the boys, and the boys will need to learn to trust her if they want to survive their rivals.

And each other.

The Academy, Relentless Trust

He let out a breath and said something that I almost thought was a swear. His arms encircled me. I buried my face into his shoulder, my tears wetting his shirt. He pressed a hand against the back of my head, brushing against my hair. "Don't cry. Please. Just tell me what happened. I'll fix it. I promise. I swear."

I'm still working my way through re-reading this series and loving it so much. And hey, remember I'm giving away a copy of the first book here!

Those are our teasers for this week! What do you think? Do you have a teaser to share? Leave us a comment and link us up!
