The Prophecy (Titan, #4) by Jennifer L. Armentrout ~ Review & Giveaway

History is on repeat…

Seth never thought he’d have a future. But now he’s on the brink of having it all with Josie: A tomorrow. A family. A forever. And all that's standing between him and that forever is the Titans. If he helps Josie entomb them -- without killing them, a nearly impossible task for him -- everything he could ever want will be in reach. But he soon realizes that as a god, every little choice he makes can reshape the world for the better… or worse. And in meddling with the Titans, Seth may have just set into motion catastrophic consequences that will force the Olympians to enter the mortal realm and reshape the delicate balance of power that keeps the world from total collapse.

A price must be paid…

Entombing the Titans is Josie’s top priority. After all, it was what she was born to do. But the plans her father put into play to help her are no longer an option, and the odds she and Seth face in forging their own path are grim. The escalating violence between halfs and pures only increases the danger closing in on them and their friends. Josie knows their chances of succeeding in their task are slim at best -- and if they fail, they might lose everything. But she also knows she's not fighting just for herself -- she's fighting for the man she loves, for their future, for the world. Together with the Army of Awesome, Josie and Seth will face the unthinkable. And to win this war, the ultimate sacrifice must be made.

For the end is here and the Prophecy will be fulfilled…

Emotional?  That word is way too tame to describe the way I felt while reading this book.

Surprised?  Very much so.  Didn't see that coming at all.

Broken?  Not just me but the characters as well.

A price?  Yes.  There is one.  In the book and for the reader.

Twists?  Yep, that too.  One I really should have seen but when it happened, I was like, yep.

Titans?  Though I wish the answer was Seth killing them all - I like better what Seth learned.

Old friends?  Hard to even comment here.  Yes, we lose one.

The story?  Brilliant.  Simply brilliant.

The writing?  Amazing as always.

The characters?  I adore them though I hate some.  Emotional definitely involved there.

In the end?  I was completely satisfied.

When you add it all together, this book is an amazing conclusion to a wonderful series.  The growth in characters, the way the story comes full circle, the sigh I felt at the end...all perfection.

This author does a great job with character development and the way characters interact with each other.  It's real and true.  And while I always enjoy her contemporary books, it's these paranormal ones that really shine.  She's able to demonstrate real life truisms with the help of the supernatural world, driving the point home so much better.  Something I truly enjoy.

I was amazed...truly amazed that this book brought the series and the Covenant series full circle.  Only a truly gifted author can make that work.  And it just brought so much back from the first series with Alex and Aiden (my first books with this author and my very favorite book boyfriend).

While this book is painful, at times, it also has such a sanctification at the end.  The very last paragraph just made me all kinds of happy.  And least you think the whole book is sad, there is plenty of giggles and sexy times to go around.  Actually, the first 3/4 of the book is a wonderful experience.  That last 1/4 just gets real and you will need the tissue box.  Just sayin'.

If you haven't read this series, I'm not sure we can be friends.  What are you waiting for?  It's amazing.  So pick it up and devour it.  Actually, I may envy you just a bit.  You can read the whole thing straight through with no waiting.  Lucky you.  Make sure and get all four books, though because you'll want the next one as soon as you finish one.  Go.  One click it.

For those of you who have read along the way like me?  I think you know to grab this book.  But let me assure you that you will survive reading it.  You may need a friend to sob with in one or two places but it will be worth it.

Go.  Read this book.

  1. I LOVED the Covenant series and Seth was always a favourite but when I found out that the Titan series was releasing one a year, I decided to wait until it was complete before going past book 1. Glad to know it's fantastic and ends well! I'll be binge reading now, lol. :)
