I would love to read these books! I've heard so many great things!
ReplyDeleteI forgot to mention...I like series as long as it doesn't take forever for the next book to come out. It also kind of depends upon the storyline and what I'm in the mood for.
DeleteI prefer stand alones, but gravitate to series when I find one with the books already published to binge them.
ReplyDeleteI like series where I can get immersed in the story and characters.
ReplyDeleteI like both.
ReplyDeleteI like a series because I like to visit with characters from a previous book and see what they are up to.
ReplyDeleteI like stand alones but I can do both.
ReplyDeleteI like series because I feel like I really get to know the people in the series. The one think I don't like about a series is that sometimes takes quite awhile before the next book is released.
ReplyDeleteI like standalones
ReplyDeleteI love series books! Thank you
ReplyDeleteI prefer standalone books.

I really enjoy both. Standalones are great so I don't have to wait for the next book to be released.
ReplyDeleteBoth. I read standalones to cleanse my palate after binging a series.
ReplyDeleteI love both, as long as if it's a series it's not more of the same.
ReplyDeleteI would rather read a series, but will read standalones if they sound interesting enough.
ReplyDeleteI generally prefer standalones. I like series books, but I usually wait until a series is finished before reading it. Otherwise they make me crazy!

I love series, I love the suspense!
ReplyDeleteI prefer standalones when I am buying a book, but I love reading series. The problem is that when I start a series I wan to finish it and sometimes I do not have the funds to get the rest of the series. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI prefer standalone novels over series. I end up reading only the first volume of many series as the remaining books are not yet available.
ReplyDeleteLove series that are connected by characters & don't end in cliffhangers
ReplyDeleteI like them both, With stand-alones, you don't have to be concerned with finding all the books in a series, and reading them in the right order. On the other hand, with a series, the author has more freedom to develop characters and plot lines.
ReplyDeleteI like to read standalones, but I'm obsessed with all books!
ReplyDeleteI personally can't decide. By looking at all my books, I seem to venture more into series
ReplyDeleteI like both but prefer series as it gets more in depth with the story. thank you
ReplyDeleteIt really depends on the story and the author. Some stories can't be told completely in on book. In that case, I'd want the series. But, I don't like when an author stretches out the story over three or more books when it could have easily been told in one.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy companion books the most, I think--especially in Contemp. Romance. You know, the books that are part of a "series" but can be read as a standalone.

I like them both, but with series, you get to learn more about the hero/heroine and the secondary characters.
ReplyDeleteI prefer series, you get to know the characters better.
ReplyDeleteI prefer series, I love revisiting my favorite characters over and over again!
ReplyDeleteI like both, however I tend to read more books that are part of a series.
ReplyDeleteI prefer stand alones.
ReplyDeleteI like series if they are good.
ReplyDeleteA standalone!

I truly like them both, but I would say overall I would say series.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a preference, as long as the book is good.
ReplyDeleteI like series.
ReplyDeleteI like when there is a series.
ReplyDeleteI like both but prefer series
ReplyDeleteI prefer series so I can get well acquainted with the characters. In fact, one of my favorite series covered several generations and I was sad when the series finally ended.
ReplyDeleteI like standalones best.
ReplyDeleteI prefer standalones.
ReplyDeletePreferably standalones as having three kids and two jobs makes reading a series a bit time strained ;-) Entering as bonita7878(at)yahoo(dot)com
