I'm still new to Follow Friday although I've read them for a while on a lot of great blogs out there.
Q. In light of the Summer Solstice. Also known as Midsummer...let's talk about fairies. What is your favorite fairy tale or story that revolves around the fae?
This is so easy. I don’t even have to think. My FAVORITE fae story is the Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa. I love Ash. He is so serious and all male. I love Puck. He is so funny and he makes me laugh. I love Meghan. She is a strong female but she still female. I think Grimalkin is a hoot! I am always waiting to see what that cat is going to do or say next. I can’t wait for the Iron Knight.
So what about you?
This is the 3rd time I'm seeing this one as the answer. I downloaded the free novella of this series last week for my Nook. I'll have to move it up my TBR list.

Thanks for the visit. Love The Iron Fey! As for your comment, if you want to brush up on Irish folklore (comes in handy with all of these fairy novels), there's a nice collection that was put together by William Butler Yeats. There's a bunch of dictionaries, too. I used to hoard those things. LOL

A lot of people are listing that series today. They've been on my TBR for a while. Maybe I should get to them a little faster. :)

I definitely have to read the Iron Fey series, because everybody seems to like it very much.
ReplyDeleteI'm a new follower btw and I'd love if you'd follow back.
I don't even have to think either...hands down..The Iron Fey series. I love Ash and Puck! I can't wait until The Iron Knight. Now for an adult fey series I'd pick The Merrideth Gentry series by Laurell K. Hamilton...very good.

The Iron Fae series is so popular that I feel left out :)
ReplyDeleteI have only read the novella to this series, Winter's Passage, and I really like it. But I hated the feeling of coming in halfway through the actions if you know what I mean.
