Crossing The Line (Pushing the Limits, #2.5) by Katie McGarry

Source:  Purchased eBook

Book Description:

Lila McCormick, Echo's best friend from Pushing the Limits, first met Lincoln Turner when tragedy struck both their lives. But she never expected their surprise encounter would lead to two years of exchanging letters—or that she’d fall for the boy she’s only seen once. Their relationship is a secret, but Lila feels closer to Lincoln than anyone else. Until she finds out that he lied to her about the one thing she depended on him for the most.

Hurting Lila is the last thing Lincoln wanted. For two years, her letters have been the only thing getting him through the day. Admitting his feelings would cross a line he’s never dared breach before. But Lincoln will do whatever it takes to fix his mistakes, earn Lila’s forgiveness—and finally win a chance to be with the girl he loves.

My Thoughts:

4 stars - Love Lila and Lincoln

Loved Lila and Lincoln together.  They have a relationship based on one meeting and letters for two years.  At some point, it becomes more than a friendship but both are afraid the other doesn't feel the same way.   It's a cute story of how they came together to overcome their fears so they can move forward.

Lincoln is adorable when he's jealous of Lila's ex-boyfriend.  He's adorable when he picks up and quiets his sisters baby.  He's adorable when he shows up with purple roses to seek forgiveness.  He has some struggles in his life and he clearly needs Lila as much as she needs him.

Lila is real when she realizes she's not nearly as upset by her ex-boyfriend, Stephan, as she is by the lie Lincoln tells her.  She becomes my friend when I find out she loves purple roses.  She's struggling with Echo moving on with her life and her own need to do the same.  Lincoln is her life line.

I totally enjoyed their story and was wishing for more.  Want to know what the fall brings for them.  What to know if Lincoln succeeds and if Lila follows through.  I think I know the answers but I hope we get a peek of them in other books to come in this series.

What's fun about novellas is the quick read.  This one is a one sitting kinda book. Not sure that Katie McGarry could write I book I don't enjoy.  If you've read Pushing The Limits, make sure and read Crossing The Line.  If you still haven't started this series, then WHAT are you waiting for?  This one rocks.
