CHASER
A Dive Bar Novel
By Kylie Scott

Release Day: April 17, 2018

Given his well-earned bad boy reputation, Eric is having a tough time scoring.. When single Jean moves to town, she seems heaven sent by the sex gods. Only problem is, she not only wants nothing to do with him, but it turns out that she’s pregnant.

Starting over in a small town, Jean is determined to turn her wild lifestyle around and be the kind of mother she always wished she’d had. Since local bar owner and all round hottie, Eric Collins, is now determined to steer clear of her pregnant self, it should be easy. When she goes into labour during a snow storm and her car slides on some ice, it’s Eric who comes to the rescue.

There seems to be a bond between them now, but is it enough? And can Eric give up his manwhore ways to be the man Jean needs?

I wasn’t sure how I was going to like Eric’s story, after all he’s been the player of the group. And him and Nell? Let’s not go there. But this story sold me. Not only did I fall for Eric but I was angry at those who wouldn’t forgive him for the past and let him find happiness. Some brilliant writing right there.

This book can stand alone, but why? The rest of the series is so good. But all of the background as it applies to Eric is clear in this book. I do think I was a harder sell since I had read the previous books. And can I just say here that I was so excited to see a special surprise from a different series! Oh yes that was priceless.

I love these characters and I was happy to find Jean fit the group. And the way Eric met her? So perfect. And he gets what he gets for watching a woman’s behind! Hehe. Read the book.

I really did become an Eric fan. He found a purpose and made some huge changes in this book. I was so proud of him. And they were all within his character. Nothing forced. He just needed a reason to make some changes and he found it.

I loved him and Jean together. They were adorable. Both resisting and thinking they were just friends. Don’t want to mess up the friendship kinda thing. And to watch Eric resist? So fun.

Can’t tell you more without spoilers but know that both characters were great. I loved what turns out to be the conflict. I was not interested in Eric messing up. So this conflict was perfect for them.

There's a great group of friends (though Nell was on my nerves) and a great love story that felt more real than most involving a player.  If that sound interesting to you, take a chance in this book, this series!

Good stuff right here!
