EEP! I’m sooooooo excited today because I have MY boy with me here on the blog!!! I’m talking about Liam from THE ONE by Heather Self.   I fell for the boy, the moment he turned and walked backwards away from Eveline, shoeing her to class.  The image is forever with me and I love him.

BUT let me make this perfectly clear – LIAM IS MINE!  I will share him today but then forget it.

Hey Liam! So good to have you here today! *Hugs*

Hope you don’t mind that I’ve claimed you as mine.  Doesn’t mean you don’t get a girl in the book or anything.  I’d LOVE to see that actually. 

*hugs back, laughing* I don’t mind being claimed by such a lovely young lady.

So is there a special girl for you?

Evy is about all the girl I can handle right now.  She may just be the death of me if she keeps running off with Kieran. *pauses thoughtfully, then smiles slightly*  Though, I suppose, given certain—ahem—circumstances Kai is on my radar now.

Hmmm….are you team Chase or team Kieran?

Oh god team none! Neither of them is really good enough for her and she’s too young to be dating anyway. Maybe when she’s like thirty-five or something. And you won’t pin me down on this Madam Valerie no matter how charming I think you are.

I'm so still team Chase.  Kieran needs to prove something to me first. But I am open minded here and I'm not gonna make her wait till thirty-five.  Just sayin'

So that first time that Eveline saw you in front of the school, what was going through your mind?

Would you believe I was nervous? *shakes head* God, that makes me sound like such a wimp, but I didn’t know how she would react to me after everything that had happened since I left. I knew that part of her must feel…broken because that’s how I felt. I wanted the chance to fix things—to take care of her—and I wasn’t sure I’d get that chance. Then when she didn’t recognize me…*rubs hand across his chest at the memory, then grins* She was still my Evy, though. Sass and attitude even when confronted with the unknown, which just happened to be me.

I LOVE how protective you are of Eveline.  You’ve sacrificed a lot to keep her safe.   What keeps you going when it’s hard?

I don’t know that I’ve made many sacrifices, but thank you. *shrugs* It’s all I’ve known for the last two hundred years. Training, learning, preparing. It just is. Does that make sense? If anything, it’s been easier since she was born. It made everything more real and allowed me to put everything I’d worked for into practice. *pauses, thinking* I don’t know that I would be as calm about my role or as focused if it weren’t for my siblings, Gabe, Brennan and Mina. Especially Chase. I leaned on him the most and probably wouldn’t have made it without him. He’s been a good brother. *self-conscious laugh* Please don’t tell him I said that. If he sees this I’ll never hear the end of it. His ego does not need the stroking.

What? You have like devoted your life to protecting her.  First, in preparation and then in practice! DO NOT sell yourself short, Liam.  There is a reason I claimed you!

You’re too kind in your praise. I knew there was a reason I didn’t mind being claimed by you.  *wicked grin*

*grins back* Um.. yes.  Let's move on shall we.

If you could go back in time and change one thing, what would it be?

The memory lock.

I was thinking that’s what you’d say. 

Ah! So I’m predictable now am I? I guess there are worse things to be, especially if it’s the truth.

NOT predictable at all.  "I" just know you!!!

Describe your perfect day.  Who would be there?  Where would you go?  What would you do?

Perfect Day? Hmmm…as Chase would undoubtedly tell you I don’t have much of a “life” outside of watching out for E. I like to cook with the family so I guess a big family dinner. It wouldn’t matter where and as long as all the family was there and I got to eat that’s as close to perfect as you could get for me right now. Can you ask me that again in a few years? *wink*

Ooooo, yes. I will make sure and ask you again.  But I want to know what you’re gonna cook at this family dinner. 

Everything! Evy has a big fondness for Tex-Mex but Chase and I both love to cook Italian and French.  So we’d probably end up cooking all three. *laughing heartily* Kin tend to eat a lot anyway so we definitely wouldn’t have any leftovers.

So want to be at that family event.  Pretty sure you'd sneak me in.

*smiles*

Hmmm…I normally ask guys if they could have one wish, no questions, what would it be.  I think I know the answer for you, but tell me anyway.

For Eveline to make it through Transition and whatever trials we’ll face as we work to open the portal. For her to be safe and happy, whether it is here on Earth or on Cascalar.  It’s what matters the most to me.

I knew that would be your answer.  I like that I know you that well.  But do you have dreams beyond Evy?  If you knew those things all happened, what would you want for you?

Of course I have dreams beyond Evy but right now my focus has to be on the here and now. On the steps that need to be taken to keeping Evy safe, finding the key, and opening the portal. After that…*shrug* It might be nice to meet my grandfather.

Randomness:

M&M or skittles? M&M—do you realize the genius behind those candies?

Burger or steak? Yes

Mountains or ocean? Mountains

Day or night? Night—easier to sneak in a transformation

Book or movie? Movie hands down. Chase is the reader.

Brown or blue eyes? Both—at the same time. *grin*

You know I’m desperate to know what’s gonna happen next! Got any teasers for me?? 

*Laughing, dimple flashing* Hmmm…well, because you’re my favorite for claiming me, we’ll be doing some traveling, and Evy is going to be coerced into her first school dance.

Have I told you how much I LOVE your dimples?  *smiles and hides* I do. 

But that sounds so exciting.  A school dance, huh.  I’m willing to bet it’s with Kai. 

Kai will be there for sure, she is one of the “musketeers” after all. But do you really think it’s going to be Kai that does the coercing?

No, I'm sure it was Kieran even though I still can hope it's Chase.
