Val here!
You may know that I'm a Grandma. I'm actually Grandma Val to two little boys. One is 5 and the other is getting very close to 2. I watch them often and frequently get the opportunity to read books with them. I've got the other one listening to chapter books but both love to be read to. Got to pass my addition on, right? Yeppers. Anyway, recently my daughter bought this book and I was about to read it with the five year old, Sebastian. He loved it BUT so did I. So I wanted to share the review with you but I also want to make you aware of a great event that's going on where you MIGHT WIN A NIBBLES or the like of your own!
This book is so much fun! Nibbles has been caged at the beginning of the book because he can't be trusted. Of course, you can open that cage with a pop-up and before you know it, Nibbles is off chomping through the pages! It was so much fun as he gobbled his way right into other fairy tales! The pages are beautiful and you can spend time on Little Red Riding Hood's page looking at her story or scramble on trying to catch Nibbles.
I loved reading the adventure of Nibbles but I also loved seeing the snippets of the other stories. I'd spend time talking to my grandson about that story as we went along. It's a great way to share the classics in a fun new way.
The artwork is incredible, the writing great and the pop-out amazing! I couldn't wait to see where Nibbles would land next.
This is a must for any child's library.
