Book Description:

For the last four years, good girl Lane has regretted breaking up with Noel Falcon. She thought she was sensible when she told him his dreams of being a rock star would get him nowhere, but now that he's a rock god and her career is stagnant, she realizes just how wrong she was. When Noel hires the marketing company where Lane is an intern, she’s forced to see him again. If she wants to land her dream job as executive within the company, she has to win him over and secure his account. Too bad Noel is still pissed at her for breaking his heart.

When Lane’s company flies her to a Black Falcon concert to gain Noel’s attention, emotions run high the moment she sees him and realizes she’s far from over him. But Noel’s countless trysts with groupies and his cocky attitude make Lane believe he isn’t the same guy she once loved—now he seems to only want her body. Then after Lane discloses she needs him to procure a job, Noel proves he’s a changed man by forcing her to go on the road with him in order to get it.

After Lane reluctantly takes Noel up on his offer, she becomes willing to do whatever it takes to keep him satisfied, even if it means succumbing to his seductive ways. Lane soon finds deception is a dangerous game and she’s not the only one playing.

My Thoughts:

4 stars - Rekindling love that screams rocking sexy!

So my pals Autumn and Andrea read this book and LOVED it so you know I'm gonna pick it up, right.  Was lucky enough to pick it up on a $.99 sale in December.  Best buck I've spend in a long time.

Noel is both endearing and frustrating.  He loves Lane, never stopped.  His initial reaction to seeing her again is less than kind but his heart is still broken.  But then this rocker is on a mission to win her back.  The problem is that he screws up, a lot.  AND Lanie is resistant to his efforts.  She's afraid of losing her job and then of breaking her own heart again.   What I loved about Noel is his fierce determination, his unending love for Lane, and his sex-god ways.  Even though he made me mad a couple of times, I got him.  He made mistakes but he wasn't bad.  His desire to do the right thing was amazing, even when people were screwing with him.  Totally a Noel fan.

Lanie is sensible.  She can be around the man who's heart she broke in high school to do her job.  It will be fine.  Yeah, right.  The girl has it so bad for him from the beginning, it's clear she's still in love with him.  I did kinda get frustrated with her a couple times.  Could be that Noel had my heart and she was hurting him.  Lane was truly trying to do the right thing but sometime things are just messy.  Especially love from the past but that was also what made this book so good.

The messiness was what makes this story real, even if it's about a super rich rocker.  The story is messy and real.  The story flows nicely with a book that's hard to put down.  I read it over an evening and morning.  Stayed up late then got up early to finish - that good.

I loved the ending.  Totally perfect.  But I will admit to downloading the novella sequel (Rock The Band) as soon as I finished and devouring it too.  I NEEDED the little extra that was that novella.  The ending of that was the best ever.  SO, if you read one - make sure to have the other ready.

Rock The Band is the perfect extra for Rock The Heart.  Totally loved it and read it in about an hour.

Both of these books are new adult and really is has a lot of strong language, drinking, sexual situations, etc in it.  No one under 18 should read it.  If new adult and rocker life turns you on, then these two is sure to please.

  2. Loved this review! I'm so happy you decided to give Rock the Heart a chance. And I agreed, you can't read one book w/out the other and Rock the Band was an absolutely perfect end to the series!
