Hi, friends! Since Thanksgiving was the day before yesterday, I thought it'd be fitting to tell y'all about a few series that are extremely near and dear to my heart. Needless to say, if you make it through this post and haven't read any of these series, I highly recommend fixing that immediately! :)
Lux by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Are you shocked?? Honestly, this series is such a big deal to me. It's the first series I super got into as a blogger. It's the series that led to Val and I being besties. It's the first series I picked up by JLA (who is now a fav, both as an author and as a human, and I heart her). It's a series that still makes me so happy just thinking about it. Ahhh man, the Lux series. The. Lux. Series.
The Secret Circle by L.J. Smith
If you've been around a bit, you know I am head over heels for this trilogy. It's one of the first series I picked up after I read Twilight forever and a half ago, leading me down the YA hole and into this beautiful world of book blogging and readers and whoa. I am also always here for a re-read of these beauties -- I can never get enough of the Circle!
Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
Will I ever get over these amazing books? NO. I WILL NOT. I will love them forever and cry about them and my heart will always go aflutter at the thought of them. This duology is one of the best I've ever read and I am always here for these Crows. If you want to dip your toes in some great fantasy but aren't sure where to start -- here. This is where. Even if you haven't read the Grisha trilogy (I haven't either, it's not necessary).
The Raven Cycle by Maggie Steifvater
Confession: I've only read the first three books of this series; I plan to round it out with The Raven King in December. But honestly, it only took reading book 1 for me to know this series was one that would have a place in my heart for always. I love these characters beyond words. Their story is interesting, the writing it lovely, but above everything else I am so in love with the characters on these pages I don't know what I'll do once the story is over. I'm going to miss them.
Twilight by Stephenie Meyer
The series that started it all. There was no way I could make this list without Twilight. I still get urges to re-read these books sometimes. And I most definitely still write fanfiction. They're a forever favorite for me, and shall always have a place in my heart.
That's my list! Of course there are many more series I am grateful for (like The Demon's Lexicon series, the Forbidden Men series, the Psy-Changeling series, and the Colorado Mountain series to name a few), but these were the most notable five for me. Have you read any of them? What books/series are you thankful for??
I've read the Lux series and Twilight series. The ones I would pick for myself -- Harry Potter series, Maximum Ride series, and The Lightning Thief series. All because those are the books that I've enjoyed reading with my family!
