Her eyes automatically closed, and her own hands reciprocated the touch and skimmed up the heavy bare chest that was pressing against her.  She felt a shudder unfold beneath her fingertips, and it made her heart thud against her ribs.  Kale was kissing her.  No, he wasn't just kissing her, he was consuming her.  He was touching her, and everything about the way his hands felt on her body was right, at least right now; and she decided to ignore the annoying angel still perched on her shoulder, giving in to the damn devil that was smirking with satisfaction. (Page 34)

Mini Review




4 stars - Go ahead and try to resist this one cause it isn't gonna work, sweetheart.

One story line that I truly love is when a couple gets together temporarily or pretend.  Then the hot chemistry takes them places they didn't intend and I enjoy the ride.  This book is that kind of story.  In this case, these two are looking for some no strings attached sex.  It's just sex, right.  Yeah, you keep telling yourself that, sweetheart.

Ronnie has been burned by a solider.  Not going there again but Kale is so far from the solider that caused the damage that's it's not funny.  Kale is considerate and sweet.  He enjoys the snuggle afterwards as long as they leave the next morning.  Having never had a relationship, he's not interested in one.  But Ronnie's feisty ways change his mind.

Love both of the characters in this one.  I usually love one more than the other but these two are pretty close.  I love that Ronnie didn't make it easy.  I love that Kale didn't resist the challenge.  I loved them both.

The story was fast and I read it in about a day.  The emotions grabbed me a few times and I was surprised once.  It was a great balance between my heart and my mind that I really enjoyed.

If you love that give-in to the chemistry kinda romance, then make sure and give this one a try.
