I knew from the moment I first saw her she was the one. The only girl I could ever want.

The only girl I could ever love.

She is light.

I am darkness.

She is innocent.

I’ve done too much.

She is good.

I am bad.

She is my every dream.

I should be her every nightmare.

We come from different worlds. She’s…perfect. And I’m…

Not.

Somehow she wants me anyway. So we’ll grasp at what we can. We’re going to make this summer count. She’s my secret. And I’m hers.

The problem with secrets is they never last for long. And when others discover we’re together, they’ll do whatever it takes to keep us apart. All I know is: I won’t let them.

Because Reverie Hale? She’s mine.

 Teaser...

I'm a total f*cking lightweight at the moment and it doesn't help that the girl of my jack-off dreams is staring at me like I'm her favorite ice cream and she want to lick me up. (Kindle location 1040)

Review...

I've read a lot of Monica Murphy's books and I've loved them.  My favorite of her's are the One Week Girlfriend books.  This one has a similar feel.  It's daring and unexpected.  I'm guessing and thinking I know what's up but then I'm not sure.  It's that "must read to find out" feeling that makes this books so good.

The characters have depth and make me care.  I get that Nick's life has sucked and I'm cheering for him.  I yell at him to get him to revile his secrets - it'll be okay.  He doesn't but I still love him.  Reverie is innocent like no other girl in any other story I've read is.  Her evangelical father has seen to that.  But her connection to Nick changes that.  I love how straight forward she is.  I love her diary.  I love how she forgives him for making mistakes.  I love her.

This story is told from Nick's POV with diary entries from Reverie.  I get the feeling Her Destiny will be from Reverie's POV.  I'm excited to see what happens with these two.  I will be reading book two.

Looking for YA that's a little different, a little more daring and has some surprises, then this is the book to pick-up.
