Torn between duty and survival, nothing can be the same.
Everything Ivy Morgan thought she knew has been turned on its head. After being betrayed and then nearly killed by the Prince of the Fae, she’s left bruised and devastated—and with an earth-shattering secret that she must keep at all costs. And if the Order finds out her secret, they’ll kill her.
Then there’s Ren Owens, the sexy, tattooed Elite member of the Order who has been sharing Ivy’s bed and claiming her heart. Their chemistry is smoking hot, but Ivy knows that Ren has always valued his duty to the Order above all else—he could never touch her if he knew the truth. That is, if he let her live at all. Yet how can she live with herself if she lies to him?
But as the Fae Prince begins to close in on Ivy, intent on permanently opening the gates to the Otherworld, Ivy is running out of options. If she doesn’t figure out who she can trust—and fast—it’s not only her heart that will be torn apart, but civilization itself.

Review...
When you want to both instantaneously devour the book so you KNOW what's going to happen AND savor every scene, every sentence, then you have this JLA book.
And I really, really needed to KNOW. My stress level was HIGH as I watched these favorite of favorite characters deal with some serious stuff. This one picks up right where Wicked left off and poor Ivy is reeling from the discoveries at the end of the book. Who does she trust and tell her secrets to? Tink believes it should be no one but with the Prince on the loose that's gonna be tough. It's a mess of Fae proportion.
As always, the characters are perfect. I adore Ren. I can't say that enough. He's a great guy and I totally believe in him. Sweet, charming and sensual, this boy is the perfect book boyfriend. He had me comparing him to Aiden from The Covenant series. Both perfect for their girl, they are my standard for paranormal boys.
Of course, I love Ivy though I did a considerable amount of yelling at her as the book went along. I wanted her to...well I can't really say but there were several times I disagreed with her choices, adamantly! There was this point, though, where I was so proud of her. And there were other points where I ached for her. This book will drag the emotions through the ringer for sure.
Don't get me started on Tink. That boy! We learn lots more about him and he's been keeping secrets! I understand him a lot more now. Him with his Amazon prime addiction and obsession with nakedness. I love and enjoy Tink.
And then there is the Prince. He is at the top of my hate list. He is fighting for the top spot with Ares, God of War, from The Covenant series. His disregard for human life and women in general disgust me. I hate him. Guess you can tell the emotions were heavily involved with this book.

It's classic JLA writing with so many ha's and lots of sexy, yummy times. The story drives the pages forward and there was just no way to stop. I loved it. I loved it more than WICKED. Can I give this book more than 5 stars? I would if I could.
This book is a buddy read one. You will need the emotional support. I was able to text with Krista, who was also reading it, and Jess, who is always my text when I read peep. It helps.
You need this book. You need this series. It's paranormal at it's best. It's New Adult at it's best. Don't miss this need to both instantaneously devour and savor experience!
Completely agree with you! I absolutely adored this book and I need the next one ASAP. Great review!
