Review...

From the moment I met Zayne in Bitter Sweet Love, I loved him.  So when I read White Hot Kiss, I struggled.  I wanted to love Zayne the best.  The problem was that I loved Roth too.  So infrequently does this happen to me.  I can usually pick THE guy out of a love triangle that will own my heart and the heroine's heart from pretty early on.  But JLA has skills and I loved both of these guys.

In Stone Cold Touch, Layla spends more time with Zayne.  We find out just how much he loves to snuggle.  We learn how protective and sweet he is.  We learn how he'll do anything for Layla.  He is truly the good boy to Roth's bad.

And when Roth shows back up, things get very interesting.  I am sure that both of these guys love Layla.  But that's about it for the sure thing.   I thought I had an idea of what was happening...maybe not.

Here's the thing, the love triangle is so wonderfully developed that I could easily see her with either guy.  I love all three of these characters.  I doubt the guys would be up for sharing, but I want them all happy.  My heart will break for whoever loses the girl.  And I will beg for their happily ever after.

There is so much more than a love triangle going on, though.  The mystery of all the unexplained death and destruction had me flipping those pages trying to figure it out.  But that strong emotion surrounding the love triangle wrapped it's way through all the pages and had me overlooking some pretty intriguing clues.  As I looked back, I was so impressed with how this story was stunningly crafted to hide things in plain sight. 

I have loved them all, but this one is my favorite of the series.

I cannot wait for book three.
