Three years ago today, StuckInBooks.com was born!
The first post was a review for Nevermore by Kelly Creagh.
What's happened in 3 years:
Believe it or not, my blog didn't start purple.
It was a stock blogger design until my daughter got hold of it.
She designed it and drew my little girl reading logo.
I didn't start doing meme's but only reviews.
I wasn't on twitter or Facebook.
I only had a desire to share my love of books and talk about the ones I've read.
My blog today:
I still have that desire to share my love and passion about BOOKS!
I love my followers and I have a lot of them but more importantly, I LOVE the pageviews!
I love my followers and I have a lot of them but more importantly, I LOVE the pageviews!
I have followers on

Books I've read!
In 2011, I read 139 booksIn 2012, I read 135 books
In 2013, I read 182 books
The author I read the most?
I'm sure you are NOT surprised that it's Jennifer L Armentrout
Recently, I did my 2000th post! What was it?
Meme's
MOST IMPORTANTLY
The very best part of this blog has been the great friendships that I have developed. I have blogger friends, author friends, and reader friends that would NEVER have had without StuckInBooks.
The online reading community is so awesome. From twitter to Facebook and from book conferences to author signings, I have so enjoyed meeting people that share the same passion about books that I do.
Celebration!
How do I intend to celebrate? Gonna share the love!
I have books that I've read and need a new home. I have extra copies of books that I've been given or bought at author signings. I have lots and lots of books! So I'm GIVING them away. All this month, I will be sponsoring giveaways to celebrate 3 years Stuck In Books!
First up?
I have a SIGNED ARC of ...
FANGIRL by Rainbow Rowell
that I got at BEA.
From the author of the New York Times bestseller Eleanor & Park.
A coming-of-age tale of fan fiction, family and first love.
Cath is a Simon Snow fan.
Okay, the whole world is a Simon Snow fan . . .
But for Cath, being a fan is her life — and she’s really good at it. She and her twin sister, Wren, ensconced themselves in the Simon Snow series when they were just kids; it’s what got them through their mother leaving.
Reading. Rereading. Hanging out in Simon Snow forums, writing Simon Snow fan fiction, dressing up like the characters for every movie premiere.
Cath’s sister has mostly grown away from fandom, but Cath can’t let go. She doesn’t want to.
Now that they’re going to college, Wren has told Cath she doesn’t want to be roommates. Cath is on her own, completely outside of her comfort zone. She’s got a surly roommate with a charming, always-around boyfriend, a fiction-writing professor who thinks fan fiction is the end of the civilized world, a handsome classmate who only wants to talk about words . . . And she can’t stop worrying about her dad, who’s loving and fragile and has never really been alone.
For Cath, the question is: Can she do this?
Can she make it without Wren holding her hand? Is she ready to start living her own life? Writing her own stories?
And does she even want to move on if it means leaving Simon Snow behind?
