Five Things That Make Me Swoon by New York Times bestselling author Lori Foster

Easy enough to answer—as long as we are talking figuratively. In reality, the only times I've ever "swooned" (fainted!) was while pregnant, and with three grown sons. Those days, thankfully, are long gone. I have no idea why I was a fainter while carrying, but it happened, and came close to happening, all too often. (It made my husband extremely nervous. He walked around behind me with his arms open. lol)

Now if we're talking about feeling fainthearted from extreme emotion, I recently celebrated 38 years of marriage, and I can promise you my husband is still the one. We met on the 3rd day of my sophomore year of high school, and I was instantly hooked. We married right out of high school, and he remains the funniest, most caring, dedicated, honorable and motivated man I know. He easily reads me. Always has. And if I have a problem, it's his problem too, even if we're talking something as simple as a close deadline. He's always done what he could to make my life easier, and I'll forever love him for it.

If you follow me on Facebook, or if you enjoy the covers for my new books, you've probably noticed that the men either have chest hair, or they're wearing a shirt so you can imagine the chest hair. That's because I love men as nature created them. And chest hair is so manly! Besides, I don't write guys who groom their chests—definitely not guys who wax. My heroes are too busy kickin' butt, loving life and their lady, and making the world a better place.

I also adore anyone, male or female, who helps at-risk children and animals in need. It's each person's responsibility to help those who can't help themselves to the best of their ability. Being an author, unique opportunities are available to me, so each year I do an event (my annual Reader & Author Get Together - www.readerauthorgettogether.com ) and during that event we do some amazing raffles of baskets donated by authors and publishers. The raffles have always brought in significant cash to donate to charities, and for the past two years we've made $21,000 for the One Way Farm (www.OneWayFarm.org) a home for abused and abandoned children. To coincide with the event, I always write a book where the advance and all royalties go directly to the Animal Adoption Foundation (www.AAFPets.org) a no-kill animal shelter. You can see more about the benefit books here: http://lorifoster.com/benefit-books/

Lastly, I love flowers. A lot. Do you remember being a little girl and picking wildflowers? I'm getting close to 60 now, but I never stopped doing that. Ilove wildflowers. My three sons and my hubby all know it's a sure bet to give me flowers, and I don't even care what kind. Daisies are as special to me as roses. Fragrant flowers are amazing. The flowers don't have to be cut and in a vase. My property is surrounded by knock-out roses. They're so vibrant, smell so good and they're beautiful. Peonies and lilies, too. The more flowers, the better.

Of course, like you, I get absolutely giddy over a really wonderfullyromantic, sexy, fast-paced book, and if that book contains an Alpha hero who can defend one minute and successfully make the heroine swoon the next, that's good enough for me.

DON’T TEMPT ME Synopsis:

Love comes along when it's least wanted

Jason Guthrie has no time for entanglements—between helping out his widowed brother and teenage nephew and getting his hometown back on its feet, his days are spoken for. But his nights are another story… And when his lovely new neighbor, Honor Brown, reluctantly accepts his help in remodeling her house, Jason finds himself wishing his handyman skills could knock down the defenses she keeps building around herself.

Martial arts teacher Sullivan Dean knows real danger when he sees it—even when it takes the form of the gorgeous blonde helping her friend move in across the street. After putting his wayward past behind him to focus on teaching control to troubled kids, Sullivan has learned to avoid party girls like Lexie Perkins. But Sullivan can't seem to keep his hands off the real woman behind that flirty charm—or keep his heart from landing at her feet…

"It's lust at first sight and a double romance in this new novel of neighbors helping neighbors by the prolific Foster"—Kirkus

Val's swoon from this book...

She tried to get her gaze northward, but only got as far as his pec.  How nice would it feel to rest her cheek against that lightly furred chest?

"Honor?"
"Hmm?"
"Keep looking at me like that and I'm going to get ideas."
Her gaze shot to his.
Lifting a brown, he corrected, "More ideas, I should have said." (Page 65 of ARC)
