About DIRTY DEEDS

Alex Dawn is saying no to men. No to bad relationships, disappointments, and smooth-talkers. Focusing on her family and her job at Payton and Sons Automotive keeps her mind occupied and her heart content. She doesn’t really miss a man’s touch, until one night, one shows up with the body of a god and a voice from her dirtiest dreams.

L.M. Spencer is only in Tory, Maryland, to scope out the town as a possible site for one of his company's hotels. The British businessman didn’t expect his car to break down or to find the hottest little American he’s ever seen holding a tire iron, piercing him with bright blue eyes.

They agree to one hot night, one dirty deed to burn out the chemistry between them. But from their first kiss, Alex can’t stop saying yes to this man. And when Spencer’s company threatens everything she cares about, they must make the choice to stand together or apart.

About MEGAN ERICKSON

Megan Erickson grew up in a family that averages 5’5” on a good day and started writing to create characters who could reach the top kitchen shelf.

She’s got a couple of tattoos, has a thing for gladiators and has been called a crazy cat lady. After working as a journalist for years, she decided she liked creating her own endings better and switched back to fiction.

She lives in Pennsylvania with her husband, two kids and two cats. And no, she still can’t reach the stupid top shelf.

Val had the opportunity to interview Alex from Dirty Deeds.

So you're a mechanic, yes? What's it like working at Payton and Sons? Best and worst part?

I like that the guys respect me. Even if Brent teases me, I know it’s out of love. They all respect me and my ability to do my job. Uh, the worst part is maybe dealing with jerk customers and the occasional Jack Payton outburst.

How are you feeling about Ivy being with Brent?
He makes her happy and he’s a great role model for Violet (Ivy’s daughter). He can be a total annoying jerk-face sometimes but I’m forgive him as soon as I see the smile on my sister’s face.

And Spencer or do you call him L.M.? Tell me about meeting him?
I call him Spencer, although every once in a way, if he makes me mad, I call him Leslie Michael. He growls at me when I do it, and that’s why I do it. (evil grin) Meeting him was… unexpected. I wasn’t prepared for him and how he’d make me feel. I wasn’t prepared for how different our pieces were and yet how well they fit together.

What about a secret? Anything you can tell us about Spencer we don't learn in the book?
He’s obsessed with Shark Week. His whole life shuts down for seven days and that damn TV is on 24/7.

The British accent? LOVE those, btw. Did it draw you or no big deal?
I won’t admit it to him, but yes, it’s pretty hot.

If you could go back in time and change any one thing, what would it be and why?
I’d change letting Ivy think I wouldn’t be open to her finding love. I only wanted for her to be happy. And I’m so glad we have both found happiness now.

Can't wait to read your story. Thanks for being here today.
