Swoon Thursday ~ 9/10/15

The fabulous girls over at YA Bound created this super HOT meme.  Here's how it works.

From the book you’re currently reading, or one you just finished, tell us what made you SWOON. What got your heart pounding, your skin tingling, and your stomach fluttering.

Shout it out on Twitter with the hashtag #YABound, post it here in the comments, or grab the adorable button above and share it on your blog! I want to know & so do the chicks at YABound!

Bad boy Kaidan Rowe has never wanted for anything—money, popularity, musical talent…hot girls—but seducing them is part of his duty as a Nephilim, slave to the demon Dukes. As the son of the Duke of Lust, Kaidan has learned his father’s ways, becoming a master of passion, a manipulator of chemistry. Disobeying his father would mean certain death. Thankfully for Kaidan, he’s good at his job. And he enjoys it.

Until he meets Anna Whitt—sweet, smart, feisty, and inexplicably good—the one girl seemingly immune to his charms. The daughter of a guardian angel and a fallen one, she has a certain power over him, one that makes him wish for more than he could ever deserve.

Determined to save all the Neph from their dark lives as the influencers of sin, Anna joins forces with Kaidan to overcome the demons’ oppressive ways. In the light of her affections, Kaidan must undergo his toughest test of all, a battle of the heart.

Sensual and swoon worthy, this companion volume to the acclaimed Sweet Evil series from New York Times bestselling author Wendy Higgins, told from the perspective of the irresistibly sexy and mysterious Kaidan Rowe, gives readers revealing insights into his struggle, his intense connection to Anna, and most of all, the true emotions that drive him.

Swoon...

Bloody hell...did my little vixen just tell me to hurry up?  I forget all about the playlist.  I advance toward her, wondering if she has any clue what she's sparked in me.
My freckles are getting impatient...
"Well, then," I say.  "Let's not keep them waiting."
I'm standing in front of her now and her chest is rising and falling rapidly.
Take it easy, mate.  I've waited too long to rush.  I slip my hand under her hair and tilt her face up to mine.  Her eyes close and I taste her lips.  Softly at first, taking her bottom lip between mine and then seeking her tongue with a gentle swipe of my own.  As our mouths tangle and play, I walk forward and she walks backward until we're stopped by the bed.  (Page 386)

Yes, I so love this book.  Just couldn't help but give you one more taste.  It's available now and you so need to read it!

Friends vs. Family (The Ghost Bird, #3)Sang Sorenson is forced to suffer through another of her mother’s extreme punishments. It almost kills her. The Academy boys vow it will be the last. They're determined to keep Sang safe, especially from her own family.

Their solution: complete invasion of her life.

Kota, Luke, Silas, Nathan, Victor, Gabriel and North do everything within their power to show Sang what true loyalty means. It takes more than blood to make a family and they want Sang in theirs.

In this third book of The Academy series Sang experiences a taste of freedom and what it’s like to truly be cared for...to be wanted. Sang learns a bit more about the boys’ broken families and the boys discover more than they could ever have bargained for about Sang’s. The Academy was the answer to their problems. Could it be hers?

Sang’s actions will force her mother to reveal a startling truth. A truth that will change Sang’s life and the boys’ lives in unpredictable ways. Forever.

The Academy, Allegiance

Swoon...

"Don't you ever wait to call me," he said. "I don't care if you stubbed your toe or you're just lonely. You don't even have to wait until then. You call, I'll be here."

I think I'm kind of in love with Silas. I mean, I'm a huge fan of all the guys (um, North! And Nathan! And...well...all of them!), but SILAS. He's digging into my heart here, and I freaking love it.

Those are our swoons for this week! What do you think? Do you have a swoon to share? Leave us a comment and link us up!

  2. I like the Ghost Bird books. I didn't quite understand all the fuss with Sang, but I loved the boys, and at least we get more insight by book 4.
