Triple Play: An Unrated! Prequel by Leslie Kelly

Introducing Unrated!, the hottest—and naughtiest—new miniseries from Blaze! Sneak a playful peek with this sexy prequel novella from New York Times bestselling author Leslie Kelly…
When she was eighteen, Emily Crowder was naughty for the first time in her life. She slipped naked into Rand McConnell’s bed, experienced her first (and best) orgasm...and lost her heart. Then Rand disappeared without a word.
Seven years later, Rand strides back into her life, now a famous ballplayer, every woman’s lust-filled fantasy--and a guest at Emily’s hotel. He says he wants to explain...and he wants to finish what they started. Emily's Good Girl side reminds her of the pain she felt when Rand left the last time. But Emily has played the Good Girl for far too long. Perhaps it's time she let her Very, Very Naughty side take over again. Only this time, Rand is going to play by her rules…
Don't miss out on even more steamy Unrated! books from Harlequin Blaze!

Swoon...

Cupping her chin in his hand, he tilted her head back and brushed his mouth against hers.  They melted together, holding on tight, kissing again, revealing even more than their words just had. (Kindle location 1084)

Review...

Sometimes a novella can deliver a complete story and sometimes it feels rushed.  Luckily, this one was that complete story and I was really glad.

The relationship, friendship and attraction had all happened seven years ago when eighteen year-old Emily threw caution to the wind and climbed in bed with her brothers best friend Rand.  That experience stayed with Rand even though they didn't finish what they started.  Emily hasn't left his mind, even as he moved on to a major league career.  Now he's ready to finish.

Emily can't understand why he never returned her messages after that eventful night and has no desire to see him again.  It's clear the chemistry is still there but her heart barely survived the last trip to Rand's bed.  But Rand has plans and reasons for his actions - she's gonna struggle to say no.

A little heavy on the baseball cliques, this one was none-the-less sexy and satisfying.   It's a book you can read before bed and be content.

If you like those sexy-hot novellas that actually have a complete story buried in the pages, then this one is the next one to pick up.

  3. I find that novellas work best if the couple has had some kind of previous relationship.

There are a lot of good ones out there now.
