Book Synopsis:
A satisfying category romance from Entangled’s brand new Lovestruck imprint…
Falling in love was never part of the plan…
Former Marine MacArthur Patton has made a small fortune on top-secret government contracts and black-ops missions, but his new assignment involves something more dangerous—marriage.
Well, fake marriage anyway.
To keep weapons out of the hands of terrorists, Mac has to secure a fiancée. A sweet, demure, compliant fiancée to serve as his arm candy for a few weeks while he completes the covert arms deal in Mexico. His sister claims to know just the woman, and sends her best friend to play the role.
“Sweet” and “demure” aren’t in Kelli Landers’s repertoire. A badass veterinarian who neuters big dogs and bigger men on a regular basis, she can’t wait to bring Mr. Tall-Dark-and-Detached to his knees. Her longtime crush on the commitment-phobe makes her plan to seduce him even sweeter.
Love wasn’t part of the plan, but the deeper Mac and Kelli fall into their ruse, the more danger they attract, until more than just their hearts are on the line…

Review...

I love pretending stories.  You get two people together who are attracted to each other and pretending to be together and the fun begins.  Generally, these people would never have fallen for each other without letting their guard down in a pretend situation.  Once they do, it's all over.  Such is the case with this story.

Mac, former Marine and total overprotective bada$$, does not do relationships.  He won't risk it.  He has to control things, manage risk and protect the ones he cares about.  Being in love would never work, or so he thinks.  But when he needs the cover of a fiancee to complete his mission, he lets Kelli in.  ONLY for the mission, mind you, but he does let her in.

Kelli was abandoned by her father and her crazy mother.  She's been taught from a very young age that men will leave you.  No way is she risking her heart.  But a chance to seduce the guy she's lusted after for years, she's so in.  Of course, she doesn't realize that she let him in, too.

Throw some danger, a crazy wedding planner with purple hair, a military mom who's packing, and some sexy times on the bathroom counter (um and handcuffed to the bed,  in the closet,  in the middle of a crowed restaurant, ...) and you have yourself a funny, sexy romance.

Read this one straight through and giggled a lot.  Kelli may look like a sweet, little thing but she packs a sexy streak that throws the Marine for a loop.  And I love to see those tough military guys fall in love.  So fun.

This one is for the people who like their romance hot and heavy with some giggles on the side.  Did I mention the wedding registry?  Um...yeah, you need to read that for yourself.

    1. The books are actually written to stand alone, so you don't have to read them in any particular order. Grab "Fiancée for Hire" this week while it's only 99-cents, and then pick up "Marine for Hire" :)
