Why?

Talk about a bad boy?  This King is right there.  His heart is ice and it's his way or nothing.

"Silence, Miss Sloane," he snapped, coming to the end of his tether.  "You are not here to think.  You will accompany me to the airport, where you will board the royal jet.  We will be in Kyr  by morning, and you will be shown every courtesy while we await the results."

~~~
"I guess I'll return to my rooms now and await your next command.  How I got through life for twenty-six years without you to tell me what to do is quite the mystery.  I'm pleased I don't have to think for myself a moment longer.
And when he lets the bossy side down, there is some smokin' hot chemistry.
But now that he'd kissed her, she felt as if she'd been starving for affection.  As if the drought in her sex life was suddenly much larger than she'd thought it was.  How could he make her feel this way when he was not a nice man?
~~~

Rashid al-Hassan was an unstoppable sensual force and he had a power over her that she couldn't deny.  His tongue slid between her lips, demanding her response-- and then they were kissing each other frantically, hotly, with all the pent-up passion of the past few days of deprivation.  She'd never had such a physical connection to a man before.  A connection that went against sense and reason and just was.

Review...

I read the first one in this series and loved it.  You can check out my review of Gambling With The Crown here.   That one was a pretending story but I met the ice brother, Rashid, in that one and I wanted to read his story.

I will admit to wanting to strangle him right along with Sheridan.  He is arrogant and demanding.  He kidnapped her and gave her no choice in dealing with the mistake of the clinic.  He kept her at distance and tried so hard to not care about the women carrying his child.  But Sheridan didn't just sit there and take it.  Her spunk was brilliant.  She kept him on his toes and gave his ego a check.  Then she started to see the cracks in his armor.  There was a reason why his heart was encased in ice and as she discovered his secrets her heart melted.

But is it enough to love the one who's child you carry when he feels nothing for you?  Sheridan tried very hard to resist the sexy king and protect her own heart but she fell for him.  And it's never easy to keep your heart uninvolved.

These two where definitely attracted to each other and had a really hard time keeping their hands off each other.  As the kings heart thawed, I fell for him too.  And I found myself cheering for them.  A very satisfying read that I read in a few hours.

Looking for a great romance to help you escape, this one and this series is a great one.

    He's a little too controlling for my taste, but that gives him something in common with my pick of the week!
