So my book boyfriend for the week is

Chase!

Stranded on Earth two thousand years they’ve waited for the arrival of the One: some to save her, others to kill her. With her birth, the ancient prophecy could at last be fulfilled and the doorway between the worlds would open. Those who know the prophecy believe this event occurred almost eighteen years ago, and now, they’ll stop at nothing to find her.

Seventeen-year-old Eveline has lived her entire life on the move and she hates it. She knows her parents believe she’s the One, and they’ve done whatever it takes to stay one step ahead of those who want her dead. But Eveline isn’t fully convinced that her parents’ beliefs match her own. What she does believe is that Leadville, Colorado may be the chance she’s been waiting for. The chance to be somewhere safe. The chance for her to make friends and have fun. The chance to finally date a guy. The chance to be a normal girl, at least as normal as possible for someone not human.

Such a yummy boy...

He wore a long sleeve gray shirt that strained against his broad shoulders, sleeves pulled tight over his biceps. His hair was darker than his sister's, more brown than red, but with the sun shining down on him auburn highlights stood out. It was cut short in the back and sides, with the top grown out just enough to start curling over.

He had a strong jaw with a hint of five o'clock shadow and I was tempted to run my palms over the stubble. Instead, I curled them into fists to resist the urge. His eyes, the lightest shade of brown, like honey, surrounded by long, thick, dark lashes, caught and held mine.

Can you say accent...

"Well, well, well," he exhaled in a deep, rumbly bass layered with a mild Australian accent. "Little Eveline Fallon all grown up—" His eyes traveled down my body then back up again heat filling my cheeks at his blatantly sexual perusal. "—and ready to take on..." His lips briefly curved into a suggestive smile.

Oh so sexy...

He placed a hand on my shoulder, his thumb brushing softly against the curve of my neck. A soft gasp at the feel of his caress drew his attention to my lips. His eyes devoured my mouth, and his grip tightened on my shoulder pulling me forward. The heat turned into liquid fire as his hand moved to the back of my neck, and his thumb moved to tilt my face up. My breath hitched in anticipation, and I closed my eyes.

He speaks French...

Now, I believe the best way for you to learn is immersion and since we can't teleport you all to France," he grinned at me conspiratorially, and there were once again sighs from the girls, "I'll be speaking only in French and will expect you to do the same. Is anyone here already proficient in the language?"

I narrowed my eyes at him. He knew darn well I was fluent in French and several other languages.

"Eveline, I believe your dad mentioned at dinner the other night that you are?"

What was he doing? "Umm. Yes—"

He shook his head at me. "En français s'il vous plait."

More sighs from the class. I clenched my jaw and spoke rapidly. "Oui, Monsieur Smith. Je parle français. Qu'est-ce que vous voulez?"

Yes, Mr. Smith. I speak French. What do you want?

His eyes smoldered and caressed my face as he delivered his swift reply, "Je veux plus de toi que tu imaginez, ma petit."

My stomach dropped to my feet and my heart raced. I tore my gaze from his and looked around the classroom. Mouths were hanging opened, eyes glassed over dreamily, but no expressions of comprehension.

Yeah, I could go on and on.  Love Chase.  What do you think of him?  Have a book boyfriend for me?  Leave me a comment.
