Book Description:

She seemed far beyond his reach…could love draw them together?
For years shy animator Nathan has carried a torch for Brooke, the beautiful and dynamic Director of Development at their animation studio, even creating B-Girl, a comic-book heroine in her likeness. When a new project throws the two of them together, lovestruck Nathan finally seizes his moment – only to find Arnauld, head of the animation studio, claiming exclusive rights to Brooke’s affections.

But Nathan, it turns out, is not giving up on his dreams so easily. With inspired determination, he sets out to be the super hero of wooing his girl. Threatened by his persistence, Arnauld plays dirty – only to spark an uprising at the studio that unleashes the sort of havoc only a building full of frustrated animators can create. While Nathan pulls out all the stops to win his B-girl, Brooke has to choose. Should she pursue the sparkling career that has taken her years to build…or follow her heart?

My Thoughts:

3 stars - So freakin' cute and geeky!

As I try and sort through my feeling for this book, all I want to talk about is Nathan.  I can NEVER see a star bucks cup the same way again.  I love Nathan.  He's not my normal fall at all.  He's seriously geeky.  He has no clue how cute he is and he hides under geek glasses and floppy hair.  He's insecure and blames himself for everything but he's so dang cute.  I wanted to cuddle the boy.

He brings Brooke coffee from star bucks everyday in a cup that he's added artwork to.  I love this.  He's so talented and he just draws a picture on a hot cup of coffee like it's no biggie.  She thinks it's a biggie.  She saves the cups!  I want them all too!  Some of the drawings were in the book and I loved seeing them.

He's so insecure when it comes to sex.  He's very inexperienced and has had a few bad ones.  But the boy has some serious skills.  With direction, he's an incredible lover.  I love that it's okay to learn how to be an incredible lover.  Most guys in books are already there but Nathan learns and I really enjoyed that.  And lets just say that some scenes were pretty dang steamy.

I guess I do have to talk about Brooke.  She is his love and all that but she's not my favorite.  I liked her because Nathan did.  She had some growing to do and I think she did but I'm still mad at her about a few things.  Don't be hurting Nathan.  That's all I have to say about her.

This book is detailed and full of comic references.  I'm not really into comic so some of it went right past me but I enjoyed it.  I loved some of the secondary characters.  Nate and Dani were fabulous.  Curtis and Billie were hysterical.  I laughed a lot in this book.  I loved monkey man - well actually I hated him but that was the point.  I loved the support that Nathan got when things went south for him.  I love the cute sweet story.

This is an adult read but it has the vulnerability of a YA read.  If you love both, this may be a good pick for you.  Loving the comic book world would be good too.
