StuckInBooks is very excited to bring you three character interviews from Half-Blood by Jennifer L. Armentrout.

Yesterday, I talked to Seth.  Today,  I will talk to  Aiden and Thursday I will talk to Alex.  All of this leading up to the release of Half-Blood.

Tomorrow I will have another Half-Blood treat but I'm not telling yet. =)

I have Aiden from Half-Blood here with me today. I hope you don’t mind that we’re at Seth’s place.  I thought I’d pay him back for breaking into your cottage.  I might have learned a thing or two from him about getting inside.
 
Aiden eyes roll.

Seth won’t be joining us.  I have it on good authority that he’s off annoying the crap out of Alex.

Aiden sighs. "That is something Seth excels at."

Not all pure-breeds become Sentinels.  I know you have some good reasons for why you did.  Are you happy with the choice?  If things had been different with your parents, what would you see yourself doing instead?

"I don't believe in the 'what if' scenario."

He pauses, dragging fingers through his hair.

"There is nothing to gain by wishing the past was different or wondering where you'd be today if it was. And I am happy with my decision. My life means something now."

What is your opinion of the rules about no pure/half relationships?

"Rules are there for a purpose, although that is one rule I've never fully understood. To me, there is nothing different between a half and pure. They are not something less than us. And many of us pure-bloods owe our lives to them."

Can you tell us about the first time you noticed Alex?

Aiden looks away, the tips of his cheeks turning pink.

"It was before she left here. Her personality .... it's sort of like a whirlwind, it sucks you in. You can't help but notice her."

Can you describe Alex in three words?

"It would be impossible to describe Alex in three words."

You walk in the training room and you see Seth and Alex talking, what’s going through your mind?

His eyes roll.

"What is Seth up to now?"

Are you threatened by Seth in any way?

This gets a laugh from him, and it’s a nice sound. Deep. 

"No. Not at all."

If the rules were different and you could take Alex out on a date, where would you take her?

He stares at me as if I'd sprouted snakes from my head.

"I cannot even answer that question. If someone overheard us, it would go badly for Alex. Around here, you can't even hypothetically date a half-blood."

His eyes turn a dark gray, nearly silver.

"You don't hypothetically do anything with a half-blood."

I know you collect guitar picks.  Why is that?  Is there a reason you don’t have a black one?

He shrugs.

"I just do. Each one works the strings differently. I never found a black one I liked."

Anything else you’d like to leave our readers with?

"Don't believe the hype about Seth. He isn't a big deal."

Steak or Burger? Chicken
Movies or DVDs? DVDs
iPod or radio? iPod
Blonds or Brunettes? Brunettes have always made me look twice.
Brown, Green or Blue eyes? Brown.
Boxers or Briefs? (I have to ask) You know, you're the second person to ask me this. I'll tell you the same thing I told her. Neither.
