To participate you:
* Grab your current read
* BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS!

What if the person you were falling for was a total mystery?

While Lily is spacing out in Chemistry one day, she picks up her pencil and scribbles a line from one of her favorite songs on the desk. The next day, someone else has written back to her on the desk! Soon enough Lily and the mystery student are exchanging notes, and lyrics, and even sharing secrets. When Lily finds out that her anonymous pen pal is a guy, she's flustered -- and kind of feels like she's falling for him. She and her best friend set out to unravel the identity of the letter writer -- but when the truth is revealed, the guy is the LAST person Lily could have ever imagined it to be. Now that Lily knows the truth, can she untangle her feelings and gather the courage to listen to her heart?

From beloved author Kasie West (The Distance Between Us) comes an utterly charming story about mixed messages, missed connections, and the magic of good old-fashioned secret admirer notes.

"No.  I'm okay with silence.  We're in a library after all.  This is the birthplace of silence."
"The library is the birthplace of silence?"  David asked.
"All the words are being used by the books.  When I was little, that's what I used to think.  That people were told to be quiet so that all their words didn't get stolen by the books.  I thought books needed words to exist.  Well, obviously they did, but I thought they needed spoken words.  Yeah...I was alway weird."  (Page 99 of the ARC)

Lily is so amusing and I really enjoyed her story.  The review is coming but I have a giveaway for my ARC copy going on now!  Check it out here.

Crown of Midnight (Throne of Glass, #2)"A line that should never be crossed is about to be breached.

It puts this entire castle in jeopardy—and the life of your friend."

From the throne of glass rules a king with a fist of iron and a soul as black as pitch. Assassin Celaena Sardothien won a brutal contest to become his Champion. Yet Celaena is far from loyal to the crown. She hides her secret vigilantly; she knows that the man she serves is bent on evil.

Keeping up the deadly charade becomes increasingly difficult when Celaena realizes she is not the only one seeking justice. As she tries to untangle the mysteries buried deep within the glass castle, her closest relationships suffer. It seems no one is above questioning her allegiances—not the Crown Prince Dorian; not Chaol, the Captain of the Guard; not even her best friend, Nehemia, a foreign princess with a rebel heart.

Then one terrible night, the secrets they have all been keeping lead to an unspeakable tragedy. As Celaena's world shatters, she will be forced to give up the very thing most precious to her and decide once and for all where her true loyalties lie... and whom she is ultimately willing to fight for.

"So what if it is? Haven't I earned the right to eat as much as I want, whenever I want?" She wrenched her foot out of his grasp as the smile faded from his face.
"Yes," he said quietly. his voice barely audible over the crackling fire. "You have." After a few moments of silence, he stood up and walked to the door.
She sat up on her elbows. "Where are you going?"
He opened the door. "To get you chocolate cake."

I JUST finished this book. Like, literally--ten minutes ago, tops. And OHMYGOSH. I don't know whether to cry or jump into the next book right now or go sit in a corner and think about what I just read... I mean... goodness gracious. I love Chaol so much. And THINGS... oh dear. I officially understand why people have told me I'd need Heir of Fire right away. This book was fantastic and I love this series and ahhhh. I'll have a review up around the end of next week, so you can see my full thoughts then. But for now, just know that THIS BOOK WAS SO GREAT.

Those are our teasers for this week! What do you think? Do you have a teaser to share? Leave us a comment and link us up!

  1. PS I Like You has been on my waiting on list forever (at least it feels like). With all of the Crown of Midnight teasers, I am going to have to look deeper into this series.

    2. Ha! Yeah, it took me forever to read it (not because of the book at all, *I* was just slow at getting through it), so it's been featured a lot lately. But it was SO GREAT! I definitely recommend picking it up! :)
