This is our version of Waiting on Wednesday but with more cuddles, books we can't wait to cuddle for various reasons.
What are we waiting on this week? THIS!
After the spell protecting her is destroyed, Rose seeks safety in the world outside the valley she had called home. She’s been kept hidden all her life to delay the three curses she was born with—curses that will put her into her own fairy tale and a century-long slumber. Accompanied by the handsome and mysterious Watcher, Griff, and his witty and warmhearted partner, Quirk, Rose tries to escape from the ties that bind her to her story. But will the path they take lead them to freedom, or will it bring them straight into the fairy tale they are trying to avoid?
Set in the world of Sarah Prineas’s Ash & Bramble fifty years later, Rose & Thorn is a powerful retelling of the classic Sleeping Beauty tale where the characters fight to find their own Happy Ever After.
Coming September 13, 2016 from Harper Teen
Why am I waiting? Well, did you look at that cover? I love a good fairy tell retelling. This one sounds really good.
Against his will, Noctorno Hawthorne, an undercover vice cop, finds himself embroiled in magic, mayhem and parallel universes. Too late, he meets an amazing woman only to find she’s destined for his identical twin in another world.
And things aren’t going real great there.
Noc is recruited to help save that world.
What he doesn’t know is his destined love resides there.
Franka Drakkar wears a mask. A mask she never takes off to protect herself in a world of malice, intrigue and danger.
When Franka meets Noc and he discovers her secrets, convinced she carries a midnight soul, having shielded herself from forming bonds with anyone, she struggles with accepting his tenderness and care.
When Noc meets Franka, over wine and whiskey, her masks slips and Noc knows it’s her—only her—and he has to find a way to get her to come home with him.
And then make her want to stay.
Coming August 15th, 2016!!!
Why am I waiting? I LOVE Kristen Ashley. She's awesome, her books are awesome, SO MUCH AWESOME. And her Fantasyland series? My. Favorite. Lady Luck is my favorite KA book, but I think Fantasyland is my favorite KA SERIES. It's amazing. Plus, I read the teaser chapters for Midnight Soul, and I have no idea what I'm going to do with myself until August. Probably sit here and cry or something. (I'm being dramatic. Realistically, I'm totally going to do lots of Fantasyland re-reading.) I'm so excited, and I just can't wait!! *runs around screaming*
