Swoon Thursday ~ 6/4/15

The fabulous girls over at YA Bound created this super HOT meme.  Here's how it works.

From the book you’re currently reading, or one you just finished, tell us what made you SWOON. What got your heart pounding, your skin tingling, and your stomach fluttering.

Shout it out on Twitter with the hashtag #YABound, post it here in the comments, or grab the adorable button above and share it on your blog! I want to know & so do the chicks at YABound!

From Jennifer L. Armentrout's blog posted on April 15, 2015:

"The Dead List is a full standalone novel, coming in at roughly 93,000 words. It’s a Young Adult Romantic Suspense Yes. Lots of Romance. Sort of like Don’t Look Back, but a throwback to movies like Scream and the sort of campy fun ones. Think I Know What You Did Last Summer meets Scream. But with more romance.

Swoon #1...

Jensen had changed positions, making himself all kinds of at home.  The baseball cap was gone.  Where?  I had no idea.  I didn't care.  Stretched out with his arms folded behind his head, he had his lower body tucked under the covers--my covers.

He cast me a sidelong glance.  "Wanted to get comfortable."

And he had.

And he also looked like he belonged there.

That half grin was back, this time it held a wicked, mysterious edge to it.

"Get comfortable with me?" (Chapter 12)

So now that the whole book is posted on WattPad, I am reading it.  And I love Jensen.  I'm nervous about who the bad guy is but I still love Jensen.  And this moment?  I wanted to get comfortable with him.  He was helping her feel safe at a time she was very uncomfortable.  He was wanting to help her.  And I loved him.  So, yeah, he has me swooning.  Then I found this one and yeah...

Swoon #2...

"I want to be that guy--the one that when your phone rings you hope it's me.  The one who holds your hand in the hallway and at lunch, and the guy who gets to hold you.  I want to the one who gets to touch you," he whispered against my check.  "I want to be yours." (Chapter 15)

Yeah.  So you need to read this.

The Hook Up (Game On, #1)The rules: no kissing on the mouth, no staying the night, no telling anyone, and above all... No falling in love

Anna Jones just wants to finish college and figure out her life. Falling for star quarterback Drew Baylor is certainly not on her to do list. Confident and charming, he lives in the limelight and is way too gorgeous for his own good. If only she could ignore his heated stares and stop thinking about doing hot and dirty things with him. Easy right?

Too bad he's committed to making her break every rule...

Football has been good to Drew. It's given him recognition, two National Championships, and the Heisman. But what he really craves is sexy yet prickly Anna Jones. Her cutting humor and blatant disregard for his fame turns him on like nothing else. But there's one problem: she's shut him down. Completely.
That is until a chance encounter leads to the hottest sex of their lives, along with the possibility of something great. Unfortunately, Anna wants it to remain a hook up. Now it's up to Drew to tempt her with more: more sex, more satisfaction, more time with him. Until she's truly hooked. It's a good thing Drew knows all about winning.

Swoon...

"Anna, baby, you would never be the girl I didn't see, whether we had met now or in high school." He pulls me in close, rubbing his nose along the tip of mine. "Don't you understand? I know you wouldn't be because, since the moment I laid eyes on you, you're all I can see." Drew kisses me, lingering before he pulls back to study me. His eyes are clear and filled with so much emotion that my throat closes up. As if he too is overcome, he swallows hard, and his voice is but a breath. "I love you, Anna Jones. That's not going to change. I loved you when I thought we'd never be together, and I love you still."

Goodness. Drew Baylor is nothing if not swoon-worthy. I'm actually reading Trusting Liam by Molly McAdams right now, but I really really wanted to use this swoon from The Hook Up, because the sweetness of this book was one of my favorite things about it. (If you want to know more about what I liked---and what I didn't like so much---click here to see my review.) (Also, I'll most likely have a swoon from Trusting Liam next week!)

Those are our swoons for this week! What do you think? Do you have a swoon to share? Leave us a comment!
