Baiting the Maid of Honor (Wedding Dare, #2) by Tessa Bailey

He’ll own her from the very first touch.

Julie Piper and Reed Lawson have nothing in common. She’s a people-pleasing sorority girl hiding behind her perfect mask. He’s a take-no-prisoners SWAT commander who isolates himself from the world. But when they’re forced together at their friends’ posh destination wedding, one thing is clear—Reed wants Julie more than he wants his next breath. Which is why he’s not about to stand by when she’s dared to seduce another man.

Julie wants neat, tidy sex, so she could get back to what she does best—making everybody else happy. She never expected to slip into a dark bedroom and have her mind blown by rough, demanding hands, and a sinfully filthy mouth—neither of which belong to the best man.

One night should have been all Reed needed to get the blond temptress out of his system, but when one taste is nowhere near enough, he’ll be forced confront the effects of his hellish past. One that may push Julie away forever... just when he realizes he can't live without her.

Swoon

Reed kissed her once, long and hard, growling in his throat the whole time.  Tangling her fingers in his hair, wanting to get lost in the kiss, she protested when he abruptly backed away, but he simply grabbed her hand and let her down the corridor, turning right at the end and stopping at the second door. Review...

I love the premise behind this series a lot.  Four books and four different authors all set around a wedding party.  (The prequel is a different author and is the bride and groom of the wedding).  I'm amazed at how they made it all fit together like a great big puzzle with each couple interacting with the whole in each book.  Very fun.

I had read book 1, Falling for the Groomsman and loved it.  Tyler and Christine were so much fun.  But I noticed the brooding Reed in that book and wanted so much to know his story.  Then I found out he was a SWAT team commander and I'm like...WANTS.

What was really fun about this book is how two people that don't see to have anything in common and are definitely not each others type try to resist the super hot chemistry between them.  As they get to know each other, it's pretty clear that they are exactly what the other one needs as well.

Imagine the tough Reed figuring out the pleaser Julie and then being bold enough to clue her in.  Yeah, it made her mad.  He did a lot of that.  Too bad they couldn't keep their hands off each other even when they were mad at each other.

Yep, this one is HOT.  I think it's the hottest book I've ever read. Now don't freak too much.  I read a little on the tame side most of the time.  But I couldn't pass this one up because I so loved the premise.

If you love the EXTRA hot and brazen romance, then this one is sure to please AND satisfy.  It can be read stand alone easily.  But if you love this idea as much as I do, you  might want to check out the rest of the series.

About the Author:

I'm Tessa and I live in the crazy, loud, overcrowded borough of Brooklyn, New York. I love it here. This city is a constant source of inspiration, which is why I've decided to set my most recent books in the Line of Duty Series here.

I moved to New York when I was eighteen, the day after I graduated high school. Threw my suitcase in the back of a Chevrolet Cavalier and drove across the country to find my adventure. I'm still finding it, little by little.

Thank you for being a part of it.
