Four Years Later by Monica Murphy ~ Character Interview & Giveaway

FOUR YEARS LATER Synopsis:

New Adult bestselling author Monica Murphy winds up her sensational series with this sexy story of two college kids with nothing in common but a bunch of baggage and a burning attraction. Over. That about sums up everything in my life. Suspended from my college football team and forced to cut back my hours at The District bar because of my crappy grades, I can’t keep turning to my sister, Fable, and her pro-football playing husband, Drew, to bail me out. I just can’t seem to find my own way. Weed and sex are irresistible temptations—and it’s messed up that I secretly hand over money to our junkie mom. A tutor is the last thing I want right now—until I get a look at her. Chelsea is not my type at all. She’s smart and totally shy. I’m pretty sure she’s even a virgin. But when she gives me the once over with those piercing blue eyes, I’m really over. But in a different way. I won’t deny her ass is killer, but it’s her brain and the way she seems to crave love—like no one’s ever given her any—that make me want her more than any girl I’ve ever met. But what would someone as seemingly together as her ever see in a screwed up guy like me?

Character Interview with Owen

Hey Owen, thanks for agreeing to talk to me. I should warn you that I’m a teacher. I try and tone down the teacher glare for ya.
Aw shi—I mean, uh, bummer. I’ll be agreeable. I swear. *sits up straight*

Hmm..bummer is right.  So, I hear you need a tutor. What’s up with that?

I kinda got caught up in the other stuff you know? Let my classes slide. As in, I wasn’t going to them much. With Fable gone and me on my own, it’s hard to stay on task.

I get it. Any particular subject we’re talking about here? Not math, right? Because that’s MY subject. Just sayin’
No, it’s English and creative writing which is MY subject. I shouldn’t be failing those classes and that’s what makes Fable so mad. She makes me get a tutor like it’s some sort of torture or something.

Tell me about the first time you saw Chelsea? What were you thinking then?

I was mad at everyone telling me what to do. I didn’t want to deal with my new tutor. I don’t like being forced to do something. I won’t lie…I sorta noticed how cute she is but I figured she wasn’t for me.

Can you describe Chelsea in 5 words for me.

Sweet, smart, sexy, funny, stubborn.

Tell me something about Chelsea that we don’t learn in the book.

When I first met her she was pretty tight lipped. She wouldn’t tell me anything and it drove me crazy. Now? She won’t shut up. I mean that in the nicest way possible because I love how open she is but…the girl can talk. A lot.

What about you, something we don’t learn about you in the book.

Um, I’m a bit of a nerd in that I like to read. Epic fantasy novels, which makes me a complete nerd, huh. Don’t tell my friends. They would give me endless grief if they knew this.

Sure Owen.  Won't tell a soul.  But I have to tell you that guys that read - totally cool.

If you could spend the perfect day with Chelsea, what would you do, where would you go?

We wouldn’t have to work, we could just spend the entire day together. Maybe go up to the mountains or to the ocean. Sit outside and talk, maybe make out for a while because we can’t resist each other. I’d take her out to dinner, take her back home and then take her to bed. The end to a perfect day.

If you could go back in time and change one thing, what would it be?
I wish I would’ve cut off my mom sooner. I let her take advantage of me. She was verbally abusive and when she said that stuff about Chelsea, I should’ve defended my girl. Whenever I’m with my mom though, I tend to revert to a little boy. It sucks.

Anything else you'd like to tell my readers?

I want to thank your readers for all that they do. I really hope they like our story.

Randomness:

M&M or skittles? M&Ms.
Burger or steak? Steak
Mountains or ocean? Mountains (can I say both?)
Day or night? Night
Brown or Blue eyes? Blue eyes (Chelsea has blue eyes)
Blond or brown hair? Brown
iPod or streaming? iPod
DVD or movie theater? DVD

Thanks for talking to me Owen. I hope that tutoring helps and you get it together.
The tutoring totally helped…in more ways than one. And thanks for having me Valerie! You’re awesome. Fable speaks very highly of you. J
