So my book boyfriend for the week is

Owen

Four Years Later
FOUR YEARS LATER Synopsis:

New Adult bestselling author Monica Murphy winds up her sensational series with this sexy story of two college kids with nothing in common but a bunch of baggage and a burning attraction.

Over. That about sums up everything in my life. Suspended from my college football team and forced to cut back my hours at The District bar because of my crappy grades, I can’t keep turning to my sister, Fable, and her pro-football playing husband, Drew, to bail me out. I just can’t seem to find my own way. Weed and sex are irresistible temptations—and it’s messed up that I secretly hand over money to our junkie mom. A tutor is the last thing I want right now—until I get a look at her. Chelsea is not my type at all. She’s smart and totally shy. I’m pretty sure she’s even a virgin. But when she gives me the once over with those piercing blue eyes, I’m really over. But in a different way. I won’t deny her ass is killer, but it’s her brain and the way she seems to crave love—like no one’s ever given her any—that make me want her more than any girl I’ve ever met. But what would someone as seemingly together as her ever see in a screwed up guy like me?

Totally LOVE Owen...

Mini Review

It should not be a surprise to anyone that I loved this book.  This whole series has been a favorite of mine.  The reason I love this series so much are the characters.  It started with Drew and Fable but continued with Owen and Chelsea.  Both of these boys are tortured by circumstances that were not their own doing.  Both beat themselves up over it.

Owen is a lot like my favorite Drew.  He had a sucky family life - an absent mom who turned him to drugs and had him feeling like he wasn't worth anything.  The skills he had on the football field gave him an opportunity but he didn't really think he was good enough for the sexy sweet tutor who was helping him dig out of some poor choices.  Still he can't resist her and she him.

I completely love Chelsea.  She's quite and nerdy with some secrets of her own.  She can count the number of boys who have kissed her on one hand.  And kisses are all she's known.  That's because her mother has done a good job of pushing her away from guys.  Trying to convince her that guys are all as terrible as her dad.  Chelsea believed her for a while but after spending time with Owen, she's not so sure any more.

Together these two work.  I loved their tender slow beginnings and their out of control passion.  I enjoyed seeing the characters that I loved from earlier books there.  I definitely recommend this one to anyone who has loved this series but if you haven't met this group yet - why not?  It's a great choice for meaningful romance that will definitely warm you up.
